Default 2024 turbo S or the redesign

Hi everyone.
I wanted your feedback on the 2024 911 turbo s vs the redesign

I have a spot in April of this year for the turbo s for a July delivery. Should I take this one or wait for the redesign which releases later this summer?
Will the redesign turbo s only be hybrid or will it offer a full gas version redesign in addition to the hybrid as an option.

really confused whether I should wait for a non hybrid redesign or just take the current build on a 24 turbo s

your feedback and help is greatly appreciated.

Having had the same deliberation(s) on ordering a 993, 996, 997.2, 991.2 and 992.1…I have NEVER regretted taking delivery on a particular model as soon as possible and when my personal situation allowed it. Porsches are inherently unique - each iteration of such quality and charm, the “next” one being better sure....but evolution not revolution- not so different or better making the last generation less special or having character of their own. We are all reading about 992.2 being a hybrid or smaller turbo or??..so whatever happens, it it’s two + years before we see any real inventory at our dealers and frankly, we only live once. 992.2 will be a fine car no doubt, but order one after a year after you take delivery of your 992.1 would be my thinking - all the while enjoying the anticipation in a fine car.(and letting the other guys work out the bugs I might add)…

Hearing rumours that the .2 is delayed.

if you’re fine with hybrid, that is the big question to consider.

I feel like I don't want any Hybrid crap. Added cost of repairs etc, first year of that stuff too.. Making a already complicated vehicle even more complicated for what?

That all digital dash, I prefer what they have now with a mix of analogue for the tach.

Lets see what happens!

I completely agree. I drive a hybrid Lexus when I travel for work because of the MPG. I have nothing against hybrid, but definitely not for a high-end sports car like a turbo S. No way.

For me the 992.1 is perfection. The only thing missing is heads up display! Other than that, there isn't a thing I can literally think of that I would change.

definitely heads up display. I can’t believe it doesn’t have that. The other thing I don’t like about it is the back up camera. It’s pretty pathetic. Other than that. The car is perfect in every way. In my opinion.

Will the 992.2 have HUD? I would assume that it would be an option, but I actually haven't seen anything discussing it. Does anyone know if that gap will be addressed?

Have not heard if a Hybrid version is optional or not on the 992.2, regardless I'm not sold on the Hybrid. I vote for the 2024, it is an exceptional car.

Stark -
My very simple advice would be...

If the 992.2 has a feature that you really want, then wait. These cars are too expensive to not get what you really want.

If the 992.2 doesn't have anything that is really important to you, then go ahead and get the 992. It is a great car. I do not know anyone who has regretted buying one. And the reality is there will always be a new model on the horizon.

i had the same dilemma. I ended up buying the 992.1 so our cars will prob be the same build month haha
I don't like the digital taycan dash which is what is rumoured to be on the new 992.2. Yes, it'll have instant response time from the battery on board but I just don't think it'll matter as this car will be my daily and you arent tracking it to work haha
If you love it, get it now and spec it how YOU want it (which is the disadvantage if you pick one up second hand - you may not get all the options u like) and you can always get the 992.2 later on

I don’t think 911 will ever get a HUD. Had it in my M5 and sometimes I forgot it was even there and suspect a lot of people are the same. You use it few times and forget about it.
the cars are getting heavier each iteration and Porsche is doing all it can to it keep the weight down and adding more tech I don’t think it is the answer.
