Default PCM issues

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all doing well. I've been dealing with a bit of a hiccup in my 2022 992 Turbo S and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

So, here's the deal: I'm using an iPhone 15 connected to Apple CarPlay with the original Apple cable. Whenever I'm on a call while driving, even at slower speeds, the person on the other end can barely hear me, and they mention a lot of wind noise.

I've tried swapping out iPhones and cables, but no luck. Took the car to my local dealer, and they couldn't find anything. Porsche said there are no updates available for the PCM, and they're not sure what to do.

Spoke with some other 992 owners, and it seems like they're running into the same problem.

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Noam Nagler

2021 TTS Cab - iPhone 14 - no issues or problems to speak of, other than it loses CarPlay connection at times (most likely area dependent) and i'm stuck on the Porsche interface

I'm sure you already tried an iPhone restart....but you might try the Porsche PCM restart as well (hold center of volume **** down until reboot starts) - "you never know" - Good Luck

I’ve never cabled on my 22 and use CarPlay all the time. No issues. Check your volume settings on your iPhone. Try adjusting it to see if it helps. I work for Volkswagen and doing that can address issues like you’re talking about with certain models.

I’m assuming you’ve already linked your car to your phone with Bluetooth. Here’s a good video explaining it. Let me know if it helps.
