Merry Christmas Eve All,
Forgive me if this is a topic that has been addressed recently, as it has been a while since I was on the forum. My 992 turbo s has sat largely doormat for the last 7 weeks (less two start ups) due to an ankle surgery on my right leg that has prohibited my driving. I started the car on Wednesday for 5 minutes and now the car won't start, nor will the frunk release to allow access to the battery. I have opened the fuse panel, pulled out the retractable charger prong, and have connected both a jumpstart pack as well as jumper cables from my wife's vehicle to mine with no success. Has anyone on the forum had this issue before?

sounds like your car is parked in a safe place so give the dealer a call and see about replacing the battery
once done get a trickle charger
this is especially critical if you have the lithium battery

Plan on calling Tuesday. I should also add, when I have the cables connected, the rear light bar a brake lights flash, but interesting not all of them. It's one brake light and half the light bar on the opposite side.

obviously it makes it easier if it is safe at home and you do not need to drive it

Try opening the trunk with the key while the jump connections have been made. Also make sure you have a good ground for the negative cable. Try a few different spots.

Once you connect the red tab to the jump pack, use your KEY FOB frunk release button, not the one on driver’s door sill. It needs to be on your key fob.

i found out the hard way (had to be towed to the shop because it wouldn't start)...but initial signs that it was going to be a problem were the lights started going whacky, and the lights on the console were not consistent
