Add a C8 Corvette?
#16
I’d say don’t do it! I have 2021 TT & 2022 GT3 then added Camaro ZL1 to garage and don’t like it. Not German quality, no exclusivity and corvettes look like you couldn’t afford Ferrari.

I ordered a C8 Z06 which came in recently and I refused delivery. This was my 3rd Corvette. 1st was a lemon, 2nd was so-so ok, and 3rd wasn’t the charm unfortunately but more like last gm vehicle ever bought. I will start a separate thread on this but in short, lots of quality issues, panels misaligned, stitching thats not straight, damaged leather, delaminated cf pieces, paint on the roof of the car and bird **** from being left on a parking lot for almost 7 weeks waiting for parts. I was so disappointed. The carbon fiber pieces delaminated because chevy kept the car under the sun for 7 weeks while waiting parts. Cheap chevy designed the c8 side skirts to instead of only being bolted to rather bolted less but glued more. As a result, you cant just put a new skirt easily. Glue has to be removed and cleaned requiring sanding of the side rocker panel and painting. And they said ETA on parts 6-9 months due to CF shortage. The stitching on the dash and doors were like a 12 year old sewed them, unbelievable incompetence.
GM - General Morons. I’m sorry, I tried, truly did. Now I am waiting for my paint to sample tts.
Corvettes are like one night stands I swear to god. I cannot believe I fell for this trap twice after the lemon. The lemon was a ZR1 with every-single-panel misaligned. Bumper, hood, doors, bumper… Roof leaking water… water coolant leak. Oil consumption (blue smoke). Steering column loose. Transmission issues. It took weeks to get GM to buy it back.
As with everything in life, you get what you pay for. Chevy is a chevy. It doesnt matter how high the engine revs and which engine they disassembled to copy.

Ive had 7 corvettes and 4 Porsches and many other cars.
The Funest car I ever had was a 2017 Z06. It was amazing. I one I got today is sweet too. Although the top doesn't line up that great I'm ok with it lol.
It does feel ike It's walking backwards compared to my Turbo S. But My wife loves the Vette and I do as well. Top down cruiser while the Turbo S is just a killer

yep i had a 2018 z06 manual trans. not a single issue in the 5 years i owned it. it was a great car but the tts is on another level as far a ride, refinement and build quality. i have always had corvettes. when the c8 came out i really liked it but the more i saw them in person the more i started to dislike them and i just couldn't see myself buying one.
