My first builds were all Aventurine Green based, but in the end I chose Gentian Blue after seeing both in bright sunlight.
While I'm sure I'd have been quite happy with AG, I have zero regrets with GB. It matches very well with the 992 Turbo/S styling.
I think it all depends on the look/theme you’re going for. The best part about building a TTS is there are so many options and so many directions you can go. I just got mine the other day and I had a pretty long period before it froze. I agonized over if I wanted to go more loud/bold/sporty. It more sleek/under the radar/classy. I ended up with chalk exterior and red/black interior. I glossed black everything outside and I think I got a good mix between subtle and sport. Good luck with your choices I’m sure it will be awesome!
Be aware of color undertones. Agate looks brown, Gentian purple, Guards Red orange etc. in certain light conditions. Chalk looks grey in shade, white in sun.
there is also the smile factor. The car/color should make you smile when you open the door into the garage. I’m partial to classic Guards Red as I’m sure others have their favorites.
try to see the colors in person and preferably in cloudy/low light conditions as they all look good clean and shiny in the sun.
As others haven said, it’s your car, go with the color you like.
A new rennlist member just posted this pic of his Arctic Grey Turbo over in this thread.... IMHO it looks amazing! I went Arctic Grey on my incoming GT4 RS but think it looks even better on the Turbo.
I'm also a big fan of Agate Grey Metallic, it's what I have on my 991 Turbo S, but also available on the 992 Turbo.
I was convinced I wanted Shark Blue for my new vehicle. Originally wanted a GT3 but I found it wasn’t practical at all. The GT3 looks great in Shark Blue.
I started to look for a Turbo S . I was stoked to get one in Shark blue until I saw it. Something just was off.
I think I’m going to go the Carrara white, gray or silver route. Kinda boring but I guess it suits the character of the car.
I haven’t seen it in Phyton Green in person. That looks good.
any input? ( I know color is subjective )
OMG, I love GT Silver! Everyone that has seen it also likes it not that that matters. I wanted to be totally under the radar. It's the most boring and best color, for me. We're all different though. Google 992 Turbo S pics and you'll figure it out.
