High Gloss Black - Sport Design Package vs Exterior Painted
I would like to confirm my understanding of the $6150 Sport Design Package in high gloss black vs $3000 exterior in high gloss black. I am concerned with the front bumper black pieces, particularly the vertical bits on the outer edges of the front intake as well as the horizontal upper black piece above the front radiator where the parking sensors are. Is it true that the $6150 package does not make these gloss black but the $3000 package does and there is no way to make everything in the front gloss black? It looks a bit silly to have everything high gloss black but have those very visible front pieces in matte black.
It might depend on the car's color. Since my car is black, I went with body color. They look vey good on my black car in body color. To me, they look shiny.

These two pieces are what I am interested in about and in your pictures they arent gloss.
Thank you. So back to my question (which I guess you answered part of it that sports package doesnt have those pieces gloss), does the exterior package in high gloss have those pieces in gloss?

I think high gloss black adds a nice contrast compares to exterior painted. However, it may more visible for scratches.
True but it has these advantages:
- It can be PPFed, regular plastic cant
- It can be repaired by sanding it down and repainting (and its much easier to match the gloss black paint). Regular plastic cant be easily repaired when its finish is ruined.
- Regular plastic stains extremely easy, water spots or bird poop permanently etches there. Gloss clear coat can always be ceramic coated and/or polished.
To me the maintenance benefits is just as important as appearance for why I am choosing this.
AFAIK, all combinations have matte black plastic on those vertical blades and a horizontal stripe that's covered by a front plate where a front plate is required. It's rather flat and dark, so it does not stand out much from the gloss black - I had to go and look to make sure it's matte on my car because I never noticed contrast with gloss black Sport Package. I'd rather have it gloss too, but it does not seem to be a big deal visually.
I understand that you want those painted gloss black and think it looks bad without it, but once you get your car, you may not even care about it since you're enjoying the driving experience so much. Things I stressed about didn't matter once my car came it. I love it so much even though it has flaws.
