Default 29.6 MPG in my 22 Turbo S! And, my car is finally badged, 7 mos later.

Even in non-sport mode, I never ever expected to ever get like... Camry miles per gallon from a 2022 911 Turbo S. In my last car, the 2012 Turbo S, I didn't get anywhere near this mileage. My 2008, 2012 and 2018 Mercedes S63's didn't get 29 MPG, ever. Neither did the 3 BMW 7 series, and lots of others before this, get 29 MPG. Impressively done, Porsche. Also, my PPF guy was finally able to put the rear 911 Turbo S Badge on the car a month ago. When I had the car delivered in January it was too cold to put it on. He got slammed with work and wasn't able to meet me at the dealership till a month ago to complete this task. I much prefer it, badged.

Not too bad considering I only drive in sport mode, but I’m far from pushing - break in period coming to an end soon, though.

get ready for occasional single digits lol. Still nowhere near as bad as a v10 or v12. I ve seen like 6 mpg on an 812. That said my gt3 also gets 10-11 on the street but it has a HUGE gas tank

I added 300 hp so I am not getting that kind of mileage, and it's tough to keep your foot off the floor. The only way I am getting 30 mpg is if my car is in a trailer being driven somewhere.

Just food for thought. These cars have long term adaptations for fuel trims and if its hypermiled enough it will be slower with worse throttle response. Will need to beat on it alot and possibly force reset codes with an obd scanner (even if theres no codes it resets the fuel trims) in order to get that puppy running like it should.

Fuel trim adaptations are for adjusting for small issues like minor vacuum leaks, slightly clogged injectors, gunk in throttle body, etc not how you drive. The only thing adapting to how you drive is the transmission.

I must respectfully say thats incorrect my friend. Ask any tuner or anyone thats tested it. If u do a timed pull 60-130 on an adapted car and then either reset the fuel trims or drive around like a grandma for 1000 miles, then do another timed pull it will be slower. At least for a few runs, possibly longer depending on how much it needs to adapt. Point being, if you dont consistently push the car its not ready to rock and roll full beans. Heres an example. If the owner drives With very little throttle almost all the time. A tesla pulls up and he/she decides to race them for the first time. They will be like 0.5+ sec slower than peak performance of the car for multiple runs until it re adapts. Will get smoked
Driving your car like a granny effectively turns a turbo s into a base turbo thats been driven properly. This is how all modern german ecu’s work. First thing i do when i buy a used car is time it and reset the fuel trims and re time it. Theres a half second in there from the last guy’s adaptations every time. My r8 had a full second in it. That guy was a complete grandma

Its crazy how you can hypermile these machines. Did a road trip to the deep woods and I got 700km out of one tank with 2 people and full luggage using ACC.

thats nuts! I gotta try it sometime and i agree the ability to go super normal and comfortable in this car is an amazing feat of engineering. How did the mileage get affected by the tune?

Both my previous 991.2 TTS and the current 992 TTS get amazing highway mileage when attention is paid.

Just noticed how the 992's 8th gear significantly drops engine RPM at approximately the same speed.

To be determined...def worse if you invoke that monster TQ at 3500. Low rpms cruising, its pretty close to stock.

If you have some actual factual evidence of that, I'd be interested to see it. If a tuner sees this and would like to weigh in, I'd be curious also. Would seem to make very little sense to do that and certainly also result in some disappointed customers.

only way is for me to make a video on it and im busy. However thats how it works. The ecus are very smart over the past decade theyre fully adaptive. I wouldnt be talking out of my butt if it didnt work like this every car i had. And i hadnt measured it with the dragy. I have nothing to prove just trying to educate the fellow porsche community on how it works. If u dont believe it, no problem. For most people it doesnt matter. But for people who are retarded like me. It matters
