Any weights Motown?

I've read that the ED wheels are 24lbs front and 28lbs rear.. without tires.
How much are you willing to bet? A Ben Franklin? Maybe more? I'll take you up on it

[QUOTE=motown;18033436]Today she got new shoes. I did a poll before buying these and the popular vote was to stick with stock. I needed a change. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. HRE P107SC in dark brushed clear from David @WheelsB at Wheels Boutique. Ordered them with offsets to replicate what spacers would do since I have center locks and cant use spacers. Great experience with Wheels Boutique. Their subtle spec knowledge due to trial and error was comforting for me. There are a lot of decisions. Dave knew all the offset specs and good guidance for rims.

Your HRE's sure look flush with the fenders and looks good. Are you going to lower it with springs? For me it looks fine with PASM. And I see you went with .5 inch wider wheels too. What are the offsets?

Not making any bets on something I have no idea about

These HRE's are not the lightweight variant, so I am assuming they weigh more than OEM. If you have the weights of the wheels please provide them..

HREs look great...way better offsets and yes a more muscular look. Im sure they look spectacular in person.

265/325 tire would have filled out the well just a litter better.

Yes it has PASM. I was going to lower it but after hours of reading on Rennlist I am holding off for now. Looks pretty good and I am a snob for lower stances. Love them dropped but concerned about performance.

I dont know the specs of the offsets David at Wheels Boutique ordered. I saw a few 992's that he did on YouTube and asked for the same.

Interesting. I corrected my first post with a tire spec typo. Mine are...
Pirelli PZ4 255/35/20 (NA1 Porsche Spec)
Pirelli PZ4 315/30/21 (NA1 Porsche Spec)

What is different between the two?

I have some vossens coming in 20x9.5 and 21x12...doing MPS4S in 265/35 and 325/30 - they are N0 spec

Will give just a bit taller sidewall...mostly i want the rim protection too.

Congrats.

It can be hard to capture the look and presence of these types of wheels. I have frozen polished dark clear P101SCs and I get tons of compliments on it. The fit/finish on HRE are very good.

I suspect my HRE are a bit lighter than stock, but to be honest I don't really feel a big difference in performance. Of course, these cars have so much power it covers up a lot.

One thing about OEM ride height with aggressive offsets is that taller sidewall/wider tires can sometimes look a bit Safari to me. Chubby and tall. Not always, but it's something to consider. HREs standard fitment run more aggressive than other brands (though still reasonably conservative looking).

So who wants to get the answer on wheel weight? I know the HRE Lightweights are lighter than the OEM Exclusive Design wheels at 18 lbs and 22.5 lbs, but as far as I know (and been told) none of the other HRE wheels are lighter than stock. Can someone get a definitive answer on the weight of the P107SC's?

Exclusive Design Wheels are 24 lbs front and exactly 28.5 lbs rear. No tires or sensors, just the wheels.

David Nussbaum...lets get some answers

Aww man I was really looking forward to a fun wager

These HRE P107SC's are more lightweight than the OEM wheels. HRE R101 Lightweight's are of course their most lightweight wheel model. They have between a dozen and two dozen wheel models that would be more lightweight than the factory wheels. P1 series, P1SC series, and RC1 series wheels all come to mind.

We never took photos of the OEM wheel weight but we will do so the next time a 911 is in the shop upgrading to aftermarket wheels. In the meantime, maybe OP can weigh his OEM's for us.

I’m a fan of switching out the stock wheels, but I don’t like the P107s. P101s look much better IMO.

They dont look smaller in person. Love them a few months later.

Thank you. Personal opinion... The best part of the change is the additional offset. Makes the wheels fit visually tighter to the body.

HRE then stock...

You can see the offset is wider with the HRE wheels.

The OEM wheels look way better than these HREs

I am not one to crap on a thread, but I also prefer the factory wheels to these P107's and I will give my 2 cents opinion..

The factory wheels on the 992's are unlike any other generation in that the offsets are perfect, in my opinion. Previous versions the wheels were tucked in and needed more aggressive offset. On the factory wheels I feel the look and offset are perfect. With the amount of debris the factory wheels shoot into the rear air vents and sides of the car, I cannot imagine why you would want them to poke out any further, but that is aesthetics and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The P107's aren't significantly lighter than the OEM wheels so performance gains are negligible. If you like the 5 star spoke look then its the right wheel for you but, the Exclusive Design wheels are hard to beat in weight, looks and offset IMO..
