Default New wheels for my TTS- Pics of before & after

Today she got new shoes. I did a poll before buying these and the popular vote was to stick with stock. I needed a change. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. HRE P107SC in dark brushed clear from David @WheelsB at Wheels Boutique. Ordered them with offsets to replicate what spacers would do since I have center locks and cant use spacers. Great experience with Wheels Boutique. Their subtle spec knowledge due to trial and error was comforting for me. There are a lot of decisions. Dave knew all the offset specs and good guidance for rims.

2 HRE P107SC 20X9.5
2 HRE P107SC 21X12.5
HRE Brushed Dark Cleared Monoblock
Pirelli PZ4 255/35/20 (NA1 Porsche Spec)
Pirelli PZ4 315/30/21 (NA1 Porsche Spec)
4 TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
4 Tire Mounting and High Speed Road-Force Balancing
TPMS Air Sensors
Mounting & High Speed Road Force Balancing
Pics of the P107SC in a brushed dark clear vs the original...

HRE then stock...

You can see the offset is wider with the HRE wheels.

I’m not a fan of switching out of stock wells but I must say they are tasteful and look really good

Stock looks much better IMHO.

But we all have our opinions- and mine means nothing!

I agree that the style and design of the factory wheels looks better to me as well, but the fitment and offset of the HREs are spot on flush and look much more aggressive. You can't have stock look and flush fit

They both look good. I will probably change my stock wheels when my car comes in May, but only to go to 21/22. Otherwise I would keep stock.

While they both look good (its a beauty in the eye thing going on here) - i favor the ED Wheels painted Gloss Black

I'd say that the aftermarket wheel seems to have a more muscular look

That's just my opinion....and we know what they say about opinions....

It was a pleasure helping you out on this RA. Thank you for supporting our team we appreciate you. The car looks absolutely stunning with the HRE's on. Did you have a chance to weigh them as well? Shedding weight is the cherry on top for this setup.

correct about the muscular look. And I agree the original stock with the black out it looks good and it’s on the way. It’s less flashy now and a little bit more mean. I kept the originals so I might flip them out every so often. Can’t wear the same shoes every day right?

I would venture to bet that the HRE's weigh more than the factory ED wheels. I dont think they will weigh less, which to me is one of the reasons to stick with the OEM wheels, because they happen to be very light.

Any weights Motown?

I've read that the ED wheels are 24lbs front and 28lbs rear.. without tires.

VERY VERY nice wheels, but the OEM Turbo S wheels since the 997 are just fantastically hard to beat......

For some reason, they look smaller than the OEM wheel to me, but I know that's because of the design. I think that style would look great on a Ferrari 458/488, but it's not making me drool like the Champion RS74.
