my personal bet would be that - then or now, had one simply insisted on inspecting this “pre-installed” “option”, the dealer’s sales person would have caved.

So they tried to pull this bs way back in 2020? I'd hate to see the markup they want right now.

Mandatory LO JACK = you just got JACKED out of $1200
I'd turn around and say, I'll pay you $1200 to not tear apart my factory fresh new car.

Wondering if these "lojack" installed cars have that weird LED blinking device on the lower driver side dash like this:

I'll share the dealership info after I pick up my car.

This exact same thing happened at a shady VW dealership when we were shopping for our son's first car--LoJack and window tint or no deal. I've never made a scene in my life until that moment. I told the finance guy to go f-himself and walked out. Unfortunately, it sounds like you'll have to swallow this pill for your 992 TTS. Porsche and other high end automobile dealerships should never be pulling this sort of stunt.

I got mine from Porsche of Ontario (CA). My rep was amazing. Unfortunately, the dealer's owner/management forced the issue of adding Low Jack and the replacement key warranty to inflate revenue. I offered to buy something from their store instead, but they wouldn't budge. I even got the Porsche exterior car cover and charger from them but still no changing their minds. There are plenty of other Porsche dealers to chose from in Southern CA. In my opinion, this is short sighted. On the upside, The car is amazing and I "ONLY" paid 5K ADM. So all in all, very satisfied.

Congrats and enjoy in good health! Shame on Porsche of Ontario. I’ll be sure to steer away from them for future orders. That’s something a shady low end car dealership would pull.
