In sport mode the screen will not say launch mode activated, but it will launch at the lower rpm as mentioned above.

My 2022 992 TTS will launch control in sport mode at 4K, go to 5K in sport with response button, and launch 5K in sport +, both modes will show launch mode activated message on dash.

Reviving this in case anybody has learned new information... been playing with launch control in my '23 TTS and so far standard Sport Plus from 4,000rpm seems to give me best results. 5,000 tends to create a bit more wheelspin. Any suggestions out there?

Find better grip !, either a better surface, better tires, warmer tires or reduce tire pressure.

My 21 said “launch control activated” in sport mode. My 23 does not. It still does the 4k rpm hold tho but the launch is weaker in sport mode compared to my 21 in sport mode

Agree...all about the conditions. 30 psi on hot Cup 2 tires gave best result for me in sport plus. Aero retracted to remove any possible parameter.

The one time I did it in sport, I noticed the “launch mode activated” message never showed. I have only done sports+ since.

I have done it with the ‘22 in sport with the response button and sport+. Both go to 5k rpm and show the launch control flag. If you don’t commit to full throttle it will not show the flag. Have done this a few times as well until I figured out what I was doing wrong. Sport has the slight advantage of less drag since the front aero and wing are retracted. This was on an unprepped crowned road with crappy stock tires in sport with the response button.

Then what are your thoughts on going Sport+ with retracted aero vs Sport...? Tighter suspension settings and throttle response/shifting should equal more grip and faster shifting, no?

I wish I could just leave this topic alone lol

For timed runs i always use individual mode. Drivetrain in sport +, pdcc off (to absorb launch load), aero off. It works awesome. No need for full sport + mode

That setting combination could be quicker. Since my foot is already to the floor, throttle response should be the same, shifting time and suspension settings might make a slight improvement. I haven’t tried it. It only takes a Dragy and a deserted preferably private road. I was just past break in miles and tried it on a whim with no prep. I was impressed with the result considering the pavement and haven’t tried again.

edit: I also wonder if the change to Cup 2 tires in RS sizes would improve traction and times? Have done that since this Dragy run.
