I was grateful to take delivery of 992 Turbo S 2 weeks ago. I ordered the car about 5 months ago after I did an experience day at PEC ATL. The car impressed me that day even though track conditions were not optimal.
Finally had a chance to REALLY drive her this weekend after it was PPF'd, tinted, and coated. about 300 miles mainly highway but also nice twisty roads. this is my first turbo Porsche (all previous ones have been GT cars) and this thing is brutally fast. It pulls HARD and launching it is ALWAYS an experience. Turn in is great and car is very agile. Although it's a (relatively) heavy car, it certainly doesn't behave like it when tossing it in around in corners especially with rear steering and PASM. No perceivable turbo lag. On highway, it'll pretty much decimate everything out there, so gracefully. Feels very stable and planted at high speeds.
Kline 200 cell cat pipe and valvetronic exhaust will likely be going on this weekend. Will keep you all posted on that.
I haven't had a turbo car since my 993TT and my 992TT arrives in November. The GM at my dealer said my GT3 Touring allocation should be available within the year. I wonder if I'll be disappointed moving from the 992TT to the Touring.

You won't be disappointed but they deliver two different Porsche experiences. I can't wait to hear your comparisons & feeling with the two cars. Many of us have thought of it.
Hi, nice looking car. I noticed you kept the rear tail lights in RED and didn't do the Exclusive Design Taillights (clear).
(Light arc without any red
Illuminated lateral gills
Third brake light without any red)
Are you happier with them being RED back there? I've been thinking about changing my build since a silver car with the clear lights looks a bit bland to me in pictures and I thought the standard OEM red lights might make it pop a bit more for a GT Silver car. (clear lights below)

Not the OP, but I kind of like the red taillights when the interior is red, it ties some of the exterior to the interior. With a black interior I prefer the clear Exclusive Design lights.
Some colors the default red "light arc" looks really good - I'm keeping it on my Shark Blue TTS as I think it blends in with the 3rd brake light and reflectors,....but for other colors it looks better clear - silver seems to go either way with it and look good.
Previous P cars have been 981 GT4, 991.2 GT3, 718 Spyder. Cars are much more linear in how they build power and the acoustic feedback you get from reving out to redline is sublime, especially in my GT3. All previous P cars have had exhausts because I love that NA sound.
The acoustic thrill is lacking but even without sport exhaust it’s not bad. I wanted to do the classic square tailpipes so opted for Kline sport cats and exhaust. That’ll def improve sound although I don’t think a turbo s is supposed to scream, this is a gentleman’s supercar. I’m hopping to accentuate the turbo noise with 200 cats.
First GT silver car (all previous Porsches were white) and color is awesome! Metallic pops.
My 992 GT3 freezes in Nov and should arrive late Jan hopefully. I wasn’t planning on keeping turbo but this car is great and Im very impressed with it so let’s see.
Can’t decide on GT3 color: Carrera white metallic with silver or neodyme wheels, Dolomite with silver wheels, or Gentian blue with silver or neodyme wheels.

I'm so worried that I'm going to end up with both a TTS and Touring in my garage (which I absolutely don't need - at least the GT3 will be "almost free" to own). Seems like you're heading down the same road.

I know right lol. it would be irrational to have both a turbo s and gt3 in garage right .
Congrats on the new beast. That's one popping bright interior.
FYI that you can get the sports exhaust button and get your stock exhaust to sound like the sports exhaust. Only took the dealer one hour of programming .
Some criticize that the rear non sports diffuser looks too plasticky and I did this to solve it. https://rennlist.com/forums/992-turb...kage-pics.html

your turbo looks absolutely stunning. So you painted it gloss black?

in the same boat my gt3 arrives in October. The plan was only to keep one and sell the turbo s but I’m already getting the wife used to having both…..hahah
