Default $2,130 for replacement set of factory grey hood stripes?

Recently picked up my car with Option AMZ (double stripe decal on front trunk lid in grey)... I was interested in getting an extra set of decals for the hood in case they need replacing at some point.

I was quoted $2,130 by an online retailer. Seems very high. I plan on checking with my local dealer.

😬

not to highjack the thread, but the OP has the right idea. Decals. Decals. Decals. I saw the ugliest Ferrari ever recently in Monterey. Yellow accents on silver paint. I asked the owner if the yellow was paint or decals. He was one arrogant *****. In a very condescending tone, in front of his passenger who was smoking hot and 40 years younger (good for him) he said "Paint." "God forbid...paint I special order all my cars from the factory that way!"

Decals give you great flexibility.

I appreciate the responses.

Makes me wonder, what do people with higher end cars with factory-installed decals do for replacement? Bite the bullet and buy the factory pieces for big money or get an aftermarket duplicate?

some people have so much money that the idea of researching and finding alternatives is pedestrian to them, and the cost is irrelevant.

About the same perspective from those wondering why we buy these cars to begin with.

Not ****ting on anyone. Some folks don’t care and some can’t justify the price. No clear cut answer.

some want to try different options too. Some have their car ppf and need to swap decals easily if need be. Myriads of reasons.
