Where does the gloss end?

Very disappointed in the look of chalk in the configurator. It does not do the actual color any justice at all.

It's interesting - I actually like the standard wheels, as well, with this particular color. Weird.

At what point do you stop adding gloss? Or, more to the point, if you get one gloss element -- do you have to get them all?
I've been playing around with the configurator while waiting for my allocation (I've been on a Chalk kick lately) and I like the look of the carbon mirrors. But does that obligate you to get the painted intakes?
Both builds have the gloss window trim.

I have matte intakes on a 991.2, and it’s one of the few things I’d definitely change, to gloss, next time. It just looks so cheap next to the midnight blue body. Bummer about the chips but well a rock skipped across the hood at …. very high … speed and gouged through to the metal. The intakes wear is kinda a rounding error to the over all wear and tear of DD. I have bad luck with debris on the highway. Rocks, ******** tires, all kinds of things flying through the air. Or maybe it’s good luck seeing as the damage has been primarily cosmetic …

The gloss intakes with those wheels and window trim look incredible on chalk. Normally an isolated piece of CF (mirrors) wouldn’t be a logical choice. In this case I think it works, and it works well. The mirrors curve and architecture highlight the carbon fibre beautifully. The colour and sheen don’t jar with the gloss. There is symmetry. The CF wing from DB Carbon is an option later if you feel like adding a piece.

I just submitted my build and went with a lot of gloss. Chalk exterior color, gloss CF mirrors, window trim, side skirts, rear wing, intake, black calipers, and CF roof. I’ll also have the wheels painted gloss black. I have a McLaren that I’ve spec’ed in a similar manner. I think it’ll look great.

Perhaps I'm the opposite of you'all .. if it was black from factory .. I just did not think it was worth upgrading to glossy .. that stuff adds up quickly on costs ... with that said on my Macan TPP .. I did ticked everything glossy boxes when I ordered
