Default News Flash: TTS hard to come by. Any ideas?

Apologies in advance to the forum veterans, however I thought I’d try to get some guidance.

I got a 992 C4S about 6 months ago and decided to try to upgrade to a TTS. Of-course I’m finding it nearly impossible to find one by just reaching out to dealers nationally to see what they have on their lot. (BTW: this is how I’ve bought my previous turbos and so I know it can be done!)

I’m somewhat flexible: looking for black or silver (preferably) and not uber particular on the mainstream options.

Any ideas on how to get one of these hot cakes?

Heard today that China has all the allocations. Something about landed cars in US ports this spring when Covid hit were cancelled by dealers so they went to China. Now for some reason most allocations are going there and hard to get 992 TT/TTS here in the NA. Not sure about Europe.

Makes me happy I got an allocation last November and took it.

These aren't 991 GT3s. Porsche will ultimately fulfill demand. It's just a matter of being patient.

Some dealers will be rewarded bonus mid year allocations for May/June delivery (I believe). Hard to know which dealers. Otherwise, there will be fall allocations.

The dealer I was talking to is one of the top dealers in NA. He said the allocations for the TT/TTS are very hard to come by right now. Many are going to China because of what I said.

No doubt they will ultimately fulfill the demand but might be higher than usual for a while.

True enough. Could be 10 months or more for a TTS.

It's like this with everything. High end Swiss watches come to mind. The Asian market has been taking over.

Just search there are several around, some owners and dealers are asking over sticker right now for real cars on their lot or in their garage, I keep looking because I am getting tired of waiting for my paint to order car, just keeps moving to the back of the line. Blue ones, green ones, red ones

visited my dealer this past saturday.....911 range demand has created short supply, he expects 2022 wait list will start soon - i waited 5mos (ordered july arrived december) -- many of the ones your see on dealer websites are actually not available - it seems that they automatically get posted when the dealer is receiving them, however they are usually, almost always, pre-sold ordered cars - they are however production cars, so porsche will be ever so happy to fill your order, as long as you're patient - paying over msrp is ridiculous, but there are lots of movie stars these days

Having a choice, I'd choose a black interior, but that's a nice exterior green.

I'm based in London, UK. I placed my order (with £10,000 deposit) back in early September and was told my delivery would be in March.

I've recently contacted my Porsche dealer who has absolutely no news for me whatsoever. Porsche Germany have not updated their allocations for over 2 months now.

I'm wondering if Porsche's factories & workforce have been hit by Covid and slowed down?

Not knowing anything is very frustrating. There's a few nearly new used TTS's advertised in the UK, all over list price by some way. One guy is asking £40k over list 🤡
