I’ve wanted a 911 Turbo since Jeff Zwart photographed it with all four wheels off the ground. Since the kid with that poster fell in love with Porsche I’ve had a 993 Carrera, 997 Carrera S, 991.1 Carrera S, GT4 and still currently have a 991.2 GT3 (mostly track). I have always wanted a turbo but this 992 S is just bonkers. Blowing the doors off everything. Interior is modern but true to heritage. Design is arguably the best yet.
Because I was freaked out about ordering I stalled and allocations got snapped up. I spent countless hours building/configuring and communicating with my dealer and SA. The few that came through I’d drive up to see them in person. I sent a configuration that was what I wanted over just for fun but didn’t have a build slot yet. I got a call that, although sold, a car was coming in that was nearly identical to my spec. Looks wise identical. More loaded up with options but a physical twin. The day it arrived I ran up to the dealership. I nearly wet myself. It was a beauty, my knees were weak. But it was taken. I told them if the deal fell apart for any reason to call me. Over spec’d but man...They said “it won’t fall apart, repeat client like you and has been calling every week to check on status”. The very next day my phone blew up. Client came and said he wanted to wait a week. Apparently, from there excuses turned into drama and a failed credit check. They called me told me the story and two hours later I was driving home in a new Turbo S. So that was fast.
Very nice. Cars are like buying real estate. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
I really like the silver ED wheels with black calipers. Get some clear turn signals and it will be perfect.
Congrats!

Agree with you both, clear signals inbound. 30 hours ago I didn't know I'd have it in the garage. Normally more time to plan...parts was closed by the time I got there, couldn't even try for the last min hail mary on quick install while at dealer. I will change them out asap! Thanks
