I like the idea you can add a lightweight design package. Buckets, rear seat delete, less sound deadening.

The hp and torque leaks were accurate. Looks like a $30,000 difference for 69 hp, 37 lb-ft of torque, PCCBs, center-lock wheels, and the additional letter "S" on the badge.

No information on whether the turbochargers or any other powertrain system is different between the Turbo and the Turbo S.

170k is around where the turbo (non S) should be. 30k in addition to 69hp/37tq also has PCCB/PDCC. Tune gets you double that but will take time for tuning on 992 platform to get going. Nothing about different turbos used on non S so assume power difference is boost turned down or maybe not. Wonder when the configurator will be available.

I’d definitely want ceramics on a Turbo. So if the premium for an S is $20k more, I’d just go for the S. It’s the same argument for the Carrera base vs S.

Still wait & see on the turbo difference. The Carrera base & S have different turbos, so I’d imagine it to be the same for the Turbo variants.

So basically the power of a 991.2 Turbo S with upgraded handling, looks, interior, better infotainment (and yes, minus PCCBs) but at a $30k discount. Thanks Porsche.

To be honest, once you start loading up a base S or 4S, you VERY quickly wind up at Turbo pricing.... The Turbo is a very nicely equipped car

I just rebuilt my 'S' in the Turbo version, and the total price difference was $9k; $215k v. 224k for the Turbo S..... once you add PDCC, PCCB, etc, which are ALL optional, the gap nearly closes.

Depends on what options you add on the Turbo. IF one was adding PCCB/PDCC and other high options might as well go for S. I just built a standard Turbo and go it $185k with PDCC, PASM 10mm, LCA, Race Tex, FAL, etc. That is just under 20k difference.

That's what I said.... I built the Turbo the same way as I have my Turbo S - with PCCB and PDCC and the difference is only 9k - I want both options, so for 9k to get 70 more HP, its not bad.

I actually am for the first time thinking about a turbo...the pricing for my equal builds is almost 35k-40 off of each other which for a DD is a big deal. I think you either keep it pretty streamlined on a turbo and get a C4s ++ basically or make sure its an epic turbo S and just pay up.

I'm on the same boat. The regular turbo looks like good value - especially if the engine and turbo parts are the same between s and non-s versions. I don't really care for PCCB nor the center wheel locks.

I recently bought a 992 C2S and find it a fantastic DD sports car....but I am also on the wait list for the upcoming 992 GT3. Any thoughts on GT3 vs Turbo?

I was about to order a Turbo S.....but I think its going to be a Turbo now. They enhanced the Steels in size.....maybe even enough to make the PCCB's pointless.

I am sure you will do so, but be cautious; there are a ton of options standard on the S.... The Turbo makes sense if you don't want most of them (PCCB included).

Doesn't look like the options difference is that big tbh. Waiting for them to update the configurator with the lightweight package.
