downforce + rear based engine + big tires. Look at .2 gts, rear wheel has same 0-62mph/h as 4gts, because of 315 wide rear tires.

 

I would be surprised if they didn't make this car, the aero package alone on the GT3 RS suggest they will - that aero package makes so much sense on a 2RS version which can attain higher speeds quickly and has the power to push through the drag.

 

They are definitely building a GT2RS. I spoke with Andreas Preuninger about it personally at Monterey Car Week and in his words “beating AMG Project 1 Nürburgring time will not be a problem”
