My money is on locked down, similar to new Cayenne. Basically it has to talk to the mothership in order to do any diagnostics or programming. New EU laws governing this, similar to what happened with Macan/Cayman/Boxster. Hopefully the evil geniuses at M Eng etc can figure out how to work around this.

I am love/hate with this... I like the idea of more protection from evildoers breaking into cars and bricking them, but I do not like having my own property controlled by a third party.

Sorry for the dumb newb question but if someone has a manual touring, will the RS steering wheel mod work. Would the lack of PDK present in the car throw up errors?

PTV+ selection wont work, bcoz manual use mechanical TC instead of Electronic.

Amazing job guys! Glad we get to have this option for the 992 owners! I am curious, is this fully reversible? Also how detectable is this software wise if we are to return to stock? Thanks 🙏🏼

Yes fully reversible. There is nobody at a dealership level that could see it or would notice it. Uses same software as the dealership with access to features that they don’t give techs. You are not altering the DME so no warranty issues to worry about.

How about if a future owner purchase a used GT, how can he/she know if the suspension programming has been tempered with?

My understanding is the factory PIWIS can / will flag when module firmware is different than expected vehicle config firmware if a standard integration test is run, and the module hardware and firmware versions are logged as part of the regular data collection done any time service is done on the car that requires PIWIS be hooked up. Whether Porsche notices or cares in this case is another question...
