I’ve used the below break in schedule on my last two GT3s. According to AP this is how PAG runs their cars in..
up to 300...5000 rpm
up to 420....5500 rpm
up to 540.. 6000 rpm
up to 660...6500 rpm
up to 780...7000 rpm
up to 900…7500 rpm
Redline after 1000 miles

Common sense is the best approach. Clearly don’t push the engine hard until the blue light does out and oil temps are 170 degrees and climbing. Keep revs under 7,000 for the first 932 miles but do drive and rev the car to break in the engine. Don’t worry - it will be fine!

Not sure if it matters, but AP offered this protocol many years ago (before the 9k rpm engines were made).

just keep it under 7k rpm, pretty straightforward. The break-in period flies by, 7k rpm is actually pretty nice.
I also mostly kept the car in automatic mode to ensure the pdk would select the best gears etc.

I had heard and seen this method before but was questioning in my mind if this was the preferred way, and why there was no briefing in the owner's manual. I am glad to hear this method served you well.
