S/T Suspension Programming - GT3 update??

Note that the S/T suspension tuning was developed in conjunction with the RWS delete. Loading the S/T suspension programming onto a Touring won’t replicate the same driving dynamics in my opinion.

Doesn’t have to replicate the driving experience. The goal is to knock the edge off the rough roads at low speeds so that the car is more enjoyable at all speeds. How would rear wheel steering effect damping characteristics?

Damping rates affect cornering just as much as dealing with bumps going straight. If you do not take all factors in to consideration and keep the whole system cohesive, you can really make the experience as a whole awful.
Good luck and I hope it works out, but nothing works in isolation when you are dealing with suspension changes.
Having MCS dampers and playing with clicks has taught me that. I can make just a single click change on the compression or rebound side and it affects not only damping over bumps, but the roll rate, the grip levels , the understeer/oversteer balance. Just one click softer from my optimal settings (making the same change on all 4 corners) yields a looser rear-end and more oversteer on corner exit.
I can only imagine that having RWS would amplify that if you soften things up.
Then you have the stability control programming. Which is calibrated for stock.
It's a slippery slope. Good Luck

So to clarify - I'm not trying to exactly duplicate the S/T - just leverage the things I like on the S/T. If I wanted an S/T - I would just buy one, but what fun would that be? All good points above and agree w/ most - we don't know how the S/T dampening will behave with RAS, but my guess is it will be an improvement over the stock GT3 dampening. It's easy enough to disable the RAS as well, so it might be a good experiment to drive the S/T programming w/ and w/o RAS once (if) we get it to program.
Most of the suspension hardware is identical between the S/T and the GT3 with a few exceptions, and thus there's no real risk trying this out - if it's an improvement, fantastic! If not, we will program back to stock and wait for an aftermarket solution.
The S/T is an amazing car by nearly all accounts, but it's not for me. I've graduated from my manual days to PDK, and haven't looked back. Plus, once you drive behind the 4.5L DeMan engine with a ME PDK tune, it's tough to go back - intoxicating. It's a huge improvement, especially on lower end torque. I LOVE the looks and lightweight parts of the S/T, so incorporating as many of those as I can . . . Hopefully we will end up with something that approaches the handling of the real deal, but will better reflect my personal preferences. . .

No affiliation but this may be of interest?

I looked into this having read how ‘bad’ the 992 ride is but I’m happy with my Touring so far.

I know what you mean, but the Touring doesn’t ride that bad on UK roads, I use slightly lower than recommended tyre pressures, 2.1 front, 2.3 rear.
However still interested in seeing what you guys come up with 👍

Let me tell you. Colorado roads are unforgiving. I daily drive my touring and this would be game changing. It shocks me how poor our infrastructure is here compared to other states. All the tax money they earn from the legalization of drugs didn’t help.

A group of buddies just did a group drive out to western Colorado and not one of escaped without damage. Some had Bent and broken wheels, all of us had paint damage on front bumpers, windshields, rear rockers, all, just trashed. I’m taking my car in for all new ppf in a couple weeks and just got the new windshield and ppf put on that.

I’m taking delivery of my Touring with Pirelli Corsas in a few days here - in SF. Our roads suck too, but my few test drives in a winged car here with Cup 2s left me with the impression of a much firmer ride than my 992 C4S, but I didn’t find it uncomfortable or crashy. Are CO roads worse than SF roads?
Also curious how much of an improvement one might feel going from Corsas to PS4S.

I lived in SF for six years. I’d consider them similar. The pot holes and amount of stones in Colorado are the biggest difference. They don’t just bend wheels, but can destroy suspension if your not watching where you are driving.
