As a GT3 owner that DD it and has a kid, I would be calling every dealer trying to get an allocation for one with back seats.
game changer for me. They are VERY useful.
I agree completely. Might be good to start calling from next month. Car is coming in October - have no confirmation on the optional back seats yet to be honest but info will come soon.

DYK if this includes the touring or will they be released later?

from my experience I'm only comfortable putting 1 kid upfront coz rear is really loud & bumpy for anything more than 30min rides & kid will hate the car after that. When i occasionally daily my gt3 & have to pick up both of my kids, i make do with older one sitting at rear bench for like 10min on local street at most, not recommended but kid survived lol

I've had my 992 S with SPASM as a DD for 4 years now. Both of my kids (now 5 and 1) have been raised sitting at the back of a 911 and there have been no problems whatsoever. Roads have been both good and bad. We've done road trips across Europe driving in Germany from the northernmost area at the Baltic Sea to the southernmost in the Alps. Driving the Autobahn with over 200 km/h as an average speed has been a breeze compared to spending at least double the amount of time for same distance in a more spacious car as an alternative (scared to the bone to even consider the same in a full-fledged EV). Daily commute to kindergarten and back at the back of the 911 has been going extremely smoothly too (bearing in mind we have four distinct seasons here and proper winters with snow and -20 - -30 degrees Celcius). We've used Porsche's own kids seats of three different sizes and they've been pretty good.
Taking into account the above, I would love to have rear seats option for a GT3 touring. That's the primary thing (naturally along with the local pricing starting from 400k€ upwards) holding me back from acquiring one... (no ADMs or waitlists here due to that ridiculous pricing). That would be my perfect 911.
P.S. Kids (both my own and the others at the kindergarten) now love a 911!)

+1 for me too. Back seats are the only option so far that makes me want to trade in my .1 for a .2.
I’ve got two little guys 6 & 3 and the GT3 sits in the garage most sunny days simply because we can’t all ride in it. Backseats would be a gamechanger.
Stop spreading misinformation that the 992.2 GT3 will start production in just 3 months. Not happening
I have not posted any misinformation only when is the announcement. With the announcement in October, it is possible for production also - as I mentioned though, pure speculation about the production month.
Do you have any solid info or are you speculating also?
I will try to provide solid info on the production soon so we get this over also.

Should be MY 2027 with allocations available in 2026. Unless they change their pattern…
They have changed their pattern. New models always launched with base and S, followed a year or two later by GTS and GT3. I’m sure they understand that their NA GT3s are short lived because of all the upcoming regulations, they may want to milk them out as much as they can.
