Seems like there will be less 992 6sp tourings than 991.2?

Maybe around 1200 992 RSs for the US, which is still relatively low.
any idea how many GT3s (touring or winged) produced in the 992 and/or 991.2 generations compared with all 911 Carrera models (base, S, GTS, targa, cabriolets)?

PCA publishes total US sales in Panorama magazine:
I assume 911 sales include GT3's:

2023 911 Sales:12,961
2022 911 Sales 9,711

At the moment 992.1 GT3 wing #s around 3300, GT3 touring and GT3RS #s around 1500 each.
I can post final North America #s when production is finished.

I assume those internal Porsche documents are projected sales for the year. Not actual sales figures. That said, if the document showing MY22 numbers are remotely close to being accurate & members like @Spyder718 have inside numbers for the total run estimated at 5000 total / 1500 touring. That would mean there were more MY23 touring cars produced than MY22 which would be hard to believe. There’s nearly 4x MY22 cars on the secondary market vs MY23 if that is any indication.

I’m just wondering if Porsche pushes back the 992.2 launch as rumored. Will dealers start magically receiving MY25 GT car allocations in the meantime? With two full years of MY22/23 cars & a half year of MY24. Adding MY25 would essentially be 3-1/2 to 4 years of GT production. Not that it matters, but it definitely has me pausing on my decision on which touring car I will ultimately keep long term.

On the other hand, if the 992.2 is fitted with a 48v mild hybrid. None of it will really matter in the end. I’ll probably keep both. 🤣

Check out "Four Marks Super Car Owners Club'', They claim the 992.1 Touring is/was a worldwide limited production of only 650. And that the 992.1 'Winged' was not a limited run.
Sounds like a very low number if correct and GT3 Touring owners are sitting on a car that should hold residual value quite well.

There is a recall on the touring for the brake light and the estimated number of affected vehicles is 700. This is for US market cars. So the idea that there is only 650 worldwide is probably way off.

Yeah, sounded a low number(650). A bit more of a fanfare would have been made about it by dealerships, to squeeze more out of buyers for a Touring allocation.
I wonder how/why they came up with such a number?

BS, the number is more like 1,650 Tourings in the US.

I agree. If dealers knew that there was limited amounts of them in the triple digits the prices would be through the roof. Tourings can be had in the 250-290k range right now on Auto Trader depending on options. This is not indicative of a car that is rare. For perspective my dealer is small market…they did not get a single SC, Dakar, or ST but they got 3 Tourings. Scale that up for dealer size over 200 dealers…not possible.

It's not 650 but not 1650 either. My guess is around 1000. But who knows, just drive it.

Default production numbers update

As of 04/01/24

I lost all easy access to the colors today.
But I think I'll still be able to post the total # of GT3 made at the end of production.
My final update will be when they are finished making them.

It was a standard color in 2022.
