Plan on keeping the car, do full PPF.
If not, just do the front and a large area around the hips front side, no need to do the full car for the next owner.

At first I thought that I was gonna have to have my PPF guys pull the lower door decals off and put brand new one's on again over the PPF.
Wilson at Premier told me that this isnt necessary, and in fact when drying the car after a wash it will be just a matter of time before a microfiber towel pulls up an edge of one of the letters of the decal. As a result, I followed their advice and they PPF'd over the decal. You cant even tell that the film goes over the decal. I'm really happy that I followed Wilson's advice.

Thanks, does that mean any decals would have to be re-done when time to renew the PPF?

I have seen some edges come up, worried if you do the entire car its just more to worry about?

Thoughts?

Also, If you own a newer GT3, What did you opt for PPF, NON or Partial or Full?
I went full custom fit PPF at a very reputable local shop. With 11,000-miles in Arizona and Cali, it’s been so nice to not see any damage to the paint. It’s stopped some serious rock chips at the a-pillar, and as others have noted on the rear fenders. I had them double up the PPF at the fenders and put on a larger shark fin in clear PPF to protect that area, as others have done.

if you plan on putting miles on the car, track it, road trip it, etc then it’s a no brainer cry once, buy once scenario.

A few of us are pouring on the miles in various use cases, which is what it’s all about. Keeping the cars looking and driving at tip top shape to get the most out of the experience. Likely a few of my fellow cohorts would agree.

Car pops in the sunlight with full PPF at the top of Mt. Lemmon.

As others have said full for piece of mind. I have never got a chip on the wider hips of a 911 but maybe just lucky and if I were to get one I’d be rather displeased. I typically do full front plus doors/mirrors for a PTS car full all day long.
