Default Front Clip Or Full PPF

What is everyone's thought on PPF front clip or full? I personally think Front Clip minimal. Is it worth doing the entire car?

I have seen some edges come up, worried if you do the entire car its just more to worry about?

Thoughts?

Also, If you own a newer GT3, What did you opt for PPF, NON or Partial or Full?

Full. If done right, it gives a ton of peace of mind.

I was only going to do partial initially when my car arrives, but then decided to add doors to protect from door dings since I plan to daily it. Then after reading many threads here the rear quarter panels and edge of the rear bumper seems like a must as well. At that point might as well do the whole car.

As for edges coming up I think any reputable shop should provide warranty against that. The place I’m using has a 10 year warranty against any kind of bubbling or peeling or yellowing. They’ll replace the whole panel if it happens.

Well, wish I would have done the entire car. Fresh off a little, 9,971 mile road trip, finished the final cleaning yesterday & noticed a few chips on the rear fenders for the first time. Nothing major that a dot of touch up won’t take care of, but troubling just the same.
Shame on me!

Took delivery of my GT3 Touring in January and fortunately had an appointment with Premier Protective Films in Fremont, CA later that month.

They are booked up 4 to 5 months ahead of time installing Prestige ClearGuard Alpha PPF on Porsches, Ferrari's, Lambos, and Teslas.
Their work is all custom. It's not pre-cut. It's seamless.

I had PPF for the entire car except for the rear bumper which I had ceramic coated with Modesta.
They also doubled-up the shark fin on the rear quarter panels with a much bigger piece than the small OEM one that is a joke.
Expensive, but it gave me tons of peace of mind.

Hope this helps!

What have you guys been doing on the RS and the high impact areas for the 992? Still can't figure out what to do (tribute car).

Had I only done the front clip I would now have rock chips on those gorgeous wide hips above the area typically covered by the OEM rock guards.

Depends on your tolerance for blems/chips but I am glad I did a full wrap

Same with me. Should have gone full. Small nicks go really high up those fenders.

@signes I had a full ppf done (RS) but then doubled up the exact shape and location as the “stock” ppf bits. Guessing the second layer of ppf will last only a few years (at best) and will replace as those locations get beat up.

I don't understand doing half the car. You either care about rock chips or you don't - why we letting a few thousand dollars lead to potential regret?

Slightly off topic. I'm getting full on my pristine new-to-me 1986 911 Carrera Targa, except on not doing the Targa bar. There will be some disassembly required for a proper installation.

Great looking Targa!
IMO, do not pass on protecting the bar, especially since it is black. Just returned from a little 10K mile road trip & there is a noticeable rock chip on the silver bar; 991 Targa 4S.

Thanks. The three vertical side slots are the reason for me to pass on that part. I don't want to see a PPF edge every time I open the door.
