Default ‘23 GT3 rough idle

Have ‘23 GT3 bought new ED in Stuttgart and put around 600 miles on it. Since I picked it up from my dealer I feel like it idles rough at startup. Seems to be way less after engine is hot but do you guys see the same thing? I don’t remember it being that way in Europe but I can’t be sure. The tach sits there and bounces up and down around 1000rpm. I did t drain the gas all the way down to empty and put new Shell premium in it and still seems the same. Car runs great other than that. Thoughts?

So this sounds normal with these engines?

yes, sometimes. It’s a weird thing, but these are not Toyota engines. For some reason some back more noises then others, but usually after a bit they mostly settle down

you are going to feel more vibration at idle because they dont use the active motor mounts on the GT3.
if you get a chance to compare with another gt3 see if its the same

Actually he said "not sure" and can't remember since he slept numerous times since then.

Had an issue with a coil pack which produced similar results.

My GT3 Touring MT does this on cold start as well. It smooths out at warm up. It's really nostalgic for me. reminds of all the oil leaking piles of crap I owned as a teenage (particularly a 1973 914 followed up with a 1985 VW GTI - except those cars had rough idle most of the time). If it stalled out several times or at busy intersections it would be like a trip back in time.

Enjoy the new car!

My '22 GT3, bought new, does the same, now at 2600km. After the elevated idle when the engine is cold, the tachometer fluctuates between 800 and 1000rpm for a minute or two, then stabilizes. I also can't recall if the car behaved this way when it was delivered last October. I've become aware of the rough idle this summer.

Furthermore, my car was delivered with the oil level at the second mark on the gauge. After 600 km, I added 300ml to bring it up to the third mark. Including this initial 300ml, the car has consumed 1 liter of oil, maintaining the level at the third mark on the gauge. This rate of consumption seems a bit high to me.

Porsche says 1L every 1000km is okay for oil consumption. Now whether you feel comfortable with that is very different and understandable.

0.8L/1000 km is the limit in my 992 GT3 and TTS owners manual. I know it's within specification, but it seems on the higher end of what people are reporting for the GT3. On the other hand, my TTS hasn't consumed a bit of oil in 3000km.

That’s exactly what mine does, it fluctuates around 800-1000 and then runs better after driving a bit. Haven’t seen any oil consumption
