It's what keeps me coming back into the 992 section, never a dull moment.

I would suggest that it's because that the business model only cares about creating web-traffic and web-hits that can then be used as "metrics" to promote to their advertising customers and vendors for ad revenues.. That's why this forum has very little to do with "technical" discussion. It's why so many non-technical threads are allowed like this one. The primary goal is web-traffic.
Not quality of content, let alone "technical" content.
It's too bad.
Because I'd love to see a lot more "technical" discussion and posts by the likes of Raymort or Carl instead of all of the "value" and "flexing" posts by keyboard warriors.

You would need to go back to circa 2009/2015 for that kind of info. The GT3DE days and Mancations, right coast and left coast meeting at COTA, Bucket list trips etc. No how much is my car worth and people wanting affirmation on their build threads.

This thread is filled with hilariously ironic posts.
What's worse, posts that discuss car values, ADMs, affirmation of build specs, build and delivery status, roofing, the good old days, DEs, mancations, bucket-list trips, etc? Or posts that whine about posts that discuss car values, ADMs, affirmation of build specs, build and delivery status, roofing, the good old days, DEs, mancations, bucket-list trips, etc?
I'm so confused. Help me decide.

That's what the 992 crowd has come to, it's only about values, stitching, when does the ship leave/arrive, how should I spec my car to get the best future value, etc.

Sadly, there's very few threads/posts about actual "Technical" discussion.
More often than not, the technical posts by Raymort, 4Carl, and Ukkid74 are pure GOLD.
Too bad they get drown out by everything else.
I was at a "Cars & Coffee" two weekends ago for GT cars.
Great little turnout of a bunch of enthusiasts who were having families, busy as hell, but who wanted to spend 45 minutes sharing thoughts with other GT3 owners.
Not a single comment about ADM's or Stealerships.
No flexing. No pompous arrogance.
So refreshing!
