This is awesome! It’s no different than driving it anywhere else for a few thousand miles. Don’t listen to anyone about not doing this trip. I would add, just make sure to plan to drive through a few towns along the way that take you close to some Porsche dealers. You will be fine. Have fun!

I'd make sure to pack mountain dew, slim Jim's and dorito's.
that's my road trip fuel.

Quite frankly, I dont think that anyone is telling him not to do this cross country trip.
What they are doing is saying that he needs to be prepared . . . especially with a car with center lock wheels.
Carl's advice is spot on.

Have you ever driven that route before? It is one of the most mind numbing drives you can make until halfway through Colorado as others have said. Even if you had it shipped to Denver, it would be a much better starting point. All the highway road rash on black car would be super stressful to me.

First time. I was enjoyable except going through Dallas...terrible traffic.

Hwy 12 in Utah between Boulder and Escalante is amazing too. Lots of unreal landscape in Utah. And Hwy 50 across Nevada is always my choice when traversing the state. However, it's "Open Range," so avoid night driving anywhere in cattle country. Enjoy!

I tried to sleep at least 5 hours per night. All the animal crossings are scary
