I regularly drive From Dc to nyc. Only a 4 hour drive. Done it 1000 times straight in every car from a Toyota Tercel to a lambo. Never stopped. 2 hours in my gt3 with lwbs and I had to get out and stretch for 20 mins

Yes, perhaps too "strong" a word.
It's his car. He can do whatever he wants.

But he asked for people's opinions and I think we all know what will happen to the front of this car and those rear quarter panels without a decent layer of PPF.
I dont think I'm alone with this view.

One option is Track Armour or Tracwrap, temporary protection you put on yourself:

Amazon Amazon

It's PPF'd in front and rear quarters. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Front is fully PFF'd and rears are PPF'd as well. Fingers crossed it won't encounter any issues. I'll post how it went on my return.

RL is so funny! Moan and groan when we see a car for sale with too few miles and then talk someone out of an adventure!

You could be a real boss and just use blue painters tape like autox bros :-) Enjoy and congrats. I'm located in Marin and will keep my eyes out for you!

I'm with you - I like a good stretch every two hours or so after sitting in LWBS. I can deal with about 6 hours a day of driving in them before it gets really uncomfortable, but I have a spinal injury.

OP, you should also confirm that you have insurance coverage of some type for your windshield. The lightweight glass seems to crack pretty easily and is about $3500 to replace if the chip is too large to repair (repair should be less than $100).

Agree 100%. Best drive in Colorado. Done this drive many times in my Ferrari and Porsche. Here's a glimpse of the road.

Forgot to add CJ's quote: find a way to drive through gateway canyon in colorado. might be the best single route in the western US

besides protecting the paint as others have mentioned i would defiantly carry tools to emove a wheel and plug a tire..
No way in hell are you likely to find some shop other than a dealer that will have the tools and experence.
I can just envision getting a flat tire in bum fu-kTexas and the tow truck driver comes up and says .
“I ain’t never seen one of these porch-es all I gots is my tow truck, and a hook..”
I carry the Renntorq https://renntorq-llc.square.site/pro...lock-tool-v2/2 and a safety seal plug kit
Amazon Amazon

Without a way to fix a nail hole you could be really screwed in the middle of no where ..
Just me?
I always think of the one thing i learned in the boy-scouts "always be prepared"

I agree the car is meant for driving, but I know what happens on our lovely public highways literally every single time I travel by car. It is a constant dodge-fest, watching out for stuff in the road, truckers, other drivers texting on their cell phones or driving slow in the passing lane.

It might be fun but on the other hand it sounds like a slog.

Good luck whatever you choose.
