besides protecting the paint as others have mentioned i would defiantly carry tools the remove a wheel and plug a tire..
No way in hell are you likely to find some shop other than a dealer that will have the tools and experience.
Without a way to fix a nail hole you could be really screwed in the middle of no where ..
Just me?
I always think of the one thing i learned in the boy-scouts "always be prepared"

RL is so funny! Moan and groan when we see a car for sale with too few miles and then talk someone out of an adventure!
You could be a real boss and just use blue painters tape like autox bros :-) Enjoy and congrats. I'm located in Marin and will keep my eyes out for you!

I think the brakes are fine. The previous owner was an older lady and didn't really push the car. Those PCCB pads were like new according to their 111 point inspection.

I agree the car is meant for driving, but I know what happens on our lovely public highways literally every single time I travel by car. It is a constant dodge-fest, watching out for stuff in the road, truckers, other drivers texting on their cell phones or driving slow in the passing lane.
It might be fun but on the other hand it sounds like a slog.
Good luck whatever you choose.

I can just envision getting a flat tire in bum fu-kTexas and the tow truck driver comes up and says .
“I ain’t never seen one of these porch-es all I gots is my tow truck, and a hook..”
I carry the Renntorq https://renntorq-llc.square.site/pro...lock-tool-v2/2 and a safety seal plug kit https://www.amazon.com/Safety-Seal-K...oaAjpAEALw_wcB

Agree 100%. Best drive in Colorado. Done this drive many times in my Ferrari and Porsche. Here's a glimpse of the road.

Forgot to add CJ's quote: find a way to drive through gateway canyon in colorado. might be the best single route in the western US

Just ship it enclosed; enjoy the first 2000 miles at your own pace. My guy Roy can get you a truck within 1-2 days anywhere in the country; perfect service everytime, have shipped over 10 cars with him. A+++
one bad experience one rock or stone and your drive an memories be ruined...
also like a hot girlfriend best in small doses, cross country in one go, you will likely sell it when you get home

Yes, perhaps too "strong" a word.
It's his car. He can do whatever he wants.
But he asked for people's opinions and I think we all know what will happen to the front of this car and those rear quarter panels without a decent layer of PPF.
I dont think I'm alone with this view.

I would be the same way. Glad mine has the 18 way adjustable sports seats. I love buckets at the track, but this is dual purpose and I wanted some comfort in my seat.
