Default GT3 RS standard lightweight battery

Quick question.

I have an H6 60ah Antigravity battery in my GT4. Getting car back to stock and selling AEM stuff. I'm wondering if I should keep the AG battery for the 3RS or is the standard lightweight battery comparable to the AG one.

Sounds like a question for AG, but my suspicion is the AG batts don’t work for the GT3 or GT3RS.

Pretty sure the stock Lithium batteries are heavier than aftermarket like AG.

You might be right I checked AG website and they dont list any options for 992 cars. Well might as well sell AG and I can totally live with "heavier" OEM one.

I balance out the front and adjust with the amount of fuel on board.

The 992s have a proprietary Lithium Battery with the Intelligent Battery Sensor inside it. But there is a possible work around by just changing out the Ground Strap which we unfortunately have not gotten around to testing this yet, so I cannot recommend doing that yet. So at this time we would recommend you stick with the Porsche Lithium Battery in your 992 since you are getting it with the Car.

I will say to make a point not to let the Porsche Lithium Version over-discharge. THere have been quite a few comments that if the Porsche Battery gets over-discharged it goes into a Lock-out mode and won't wake up. You can find those threads in the 992 section. So make sure you keep their battery on a Charger if you not driving often.

If we get some testing in with the 992s and changing the ground strap we will post up because the other issue is that Porsche is charging $2500 or more for thier batteries and they are hard to get at this point in time.
