Default Active Matrix LED comes to the US!!!

Well... sorta. They are here but not via pcna. I found some people in the forums who helped me activate the lights on my car. I paid extra for the active matrix hoping that someone would be able to activate them and I'm glad they can on my 2023 992.

For those who want to activate own Matrix yourself: below is the combinations code that work:
USA Matrix Code:8JU+8G4+AV2+B34+8K5 --CHANGE TO--EU MATRIX CODE:8JU+8G4+AV1+B01+8K8--Access to change this value is on Maintenance of vehicle data/F7
autocode these modules: BCM1,BCM2, KOMBI, ZFAS, AIRBAG, CONBOX, LED HEADLIGHT LEFT AND RIGHT, LCM_L/R
PCM.

The automatic coding turn HOMELINK frequency into EU, and Dashboard Languange to German, solution:
For homelink fix on BCM1 manual coding Without |Rule -- Garage-Door-opener-Coding-Values: Change back from 0x21000 to 0x25000 then Write.
To Change language and metric back to US English: in Vehicle Data-Change B01 back to B34, Then auto code: Kombi Instrument only. Done. Cycle ignition off, reconnect Piwis, Delete all errors code.
Final step: Revert the vehicle data back to their original value and save, but at this last step DO NOT autocode. i repeat DO NOT AUTOCODE.

I'd love to know what it takes to enable this. Please PM me if you're willing to share. Thanks.

I'd also be interested if you can share. I have all the hardware on my car (PDLS+ and the traffic/signage camera), PIWIS and other scan tools too, but haven't found what exactly to code to enable it yet.

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm not seeing the active matrix functionality equivalent to ROW cars. It looks more like auto high beams to me?

do you have the active matrix now? there is a distinct difference between auto highbeam and the variable higher light output with shading around cars in front of you that result from reprogramming your lights. they are pretty amazing driving at night on a dark road that isn't so dark anymore...

Super interested in this as well! Please PM if you are willing to share the details! Does this require the traffic sign recognition option?

I do have them, and I can see that difference. I'm not seeing the rest of the functionality I've seen elsewhere though - most importantly the shading of oncoming cars even when the high beams are on. I could just be missing it, but it was pretty obvious when I saw it in ROW. That's not to say the coding isn't cool!

you have to have ordered the Active Matrix LED lights when you got the car.. the $4K option. If you don't have those I am not sure if you can retrofit beyond that.. but I heard a rumour that you might be able to once you swap some equipment.

Why so secretive? Ask the peeps that activated them for you if you can post their info on here. RL'ers want to know.

I know for a fact even with PCNA support you can't retrofit Matrix headlights in North America - it's been tried - with PCNA support and dealer instructions - and they abandoned the process as "infeasible" after a number of days working on the problem w/Factory and PCNA support - if you don't get it as part of your order I would not plan on getting them physically retrofitted

I would however be very very interested in existing vehicles with Matrix Headlights can be activated in north america - if it can I have 3 vehicles for which I'd want it done…

Probably because the OP wants to sell the service to activate, but isn’t a paying sponsor?

I know you mentioned MY 2023 but can this be done on MY 2022? I have the upgraded lights but would like this functionality. This would be on a turbo s if it makes a difference.
