Non-PTS - Boring?
I have a MY23 build slot and with PTS unavailable, I'm struggling to choose a color. By far, my favorite color is Shark Blue - I think it just looks stunning on a GT3. However, this is by far the most common color on GT3s and I'm used to doing really unique builds on my 911s.
I am hesitating between:
1. Shark blue with black wheels, yellow calipers - GT silver stitching bucket seats + blue belts
2. Artic grey with red wheels (aftermarket or repaint the silver GT3 ones) - black calipers and matching stitching bucket seats and red belts
3. Chalk or some neutral color with orange stitching
I plan to do a custom insert in both cases. Shark blue would have combination of blue, silver and yellow accents in the insert. That would be the main "unique" aspect of the shark blue build.
For those that like to have unique builds and couldn't get PTS - how did you decide on a color?

My take on the above.
1: Shark Blue - Silver wheels. Silver decal accent package. Silver threads inside. Yellow PCCB. Yellow belts and yellow Sports chrono clock.
2: GT Silver - Black wheels. Black decals. Orange threads inside. Black PCCB. “Paint Orange later” or go crazy and Paint wheels Orange ! Black belts.
Few pics below. FYI - I have been going over this as well as my build locks 6/29 - Oct delivery

Arctic grey, satin neodyme wheels, black calipers, silver stitching and which ever seat you really want to sit in.

When you think about it, how many times have you seen a Shark Blue GT3 on the road?
Honestly, both Arctic Gray and Chalk look pretty boring.

Color is such a personal thing. I'll say this... the only way to reverse loud paint is wrap. However, neutral colors like white, silver and even black run the spectrum between elegant with silver/titanium/black accents and loud with bright color accents. Bright color accents like wheels and side decals are easy to change if you get bored or want variety. A loud color, not so much. Nothing wrong with loud colors, just making the observation.

Never. Where I live, I have not ever seen another 992 GT3, let alone a blue one. There is a Cornflower GTI in town, and several 991 GT2RS's, 991 GT3RS's, 918's, etc. It is easy to lose perspective on RL, with all the Shark Blue cars here.

I went on a road rally a few weeks ago with about 71 exotic cars. (142miles). There were four 992 GT3s there. Three were shark blue including mine and one Mexico blue. I think it is the best non PTS color but it is very common. Does that take away from my enjoyment? No.

If I pulled up to a meet and there were ten riviera blue GT3s, I wouldn’t say oh damn it’s so common, if that helps.
I certainly wouldn’t waste a PTS slot and do an ugly root beer color just to be different.
