I found this bit of plastic loose near the bonnet/hood latch does anyone know what it is and where it fits ?

 

the picture is very small, does it fit anywhere underneath the hood?

 

It has fallen out from beside the latch in the carbon hood. Try closing it more gently!

 

Can you make the picture any smaller, that would help

 

That looks like the cover for the Porsche crest attachment. Look at where the crest passes through the hood.

 

Just had a friend ask me this - here it goes on the frunk lid:

 

Yep, has a tendency to fall out

 

So went looked at mine of course it is missing, anyone have a part# or a site to look up parts for our cars.

thats the part PPF installer would remove to unscrew the Porsche emblem. That way they can install PPF and then screw back the emblem. If you had that done check your PPF installer if they still have it.

 

Osirriss no, I actually remember washing the car and finding it on ground and I was drying the car. I told my wife I couldn’t find where it went and put it somewhere, I can’t remember she is still laughing at me.

 

I curious. Has this been removed before during ppf? I have a feeling it gets lose after the first removal during that process.
