Cold start tech support
Thought I'd reach out on RL. Recently got a GT3 and has about 500 miles. Upon a cold (low 30's) start and letting it warm for a few, pulling out of the driveway and making a sharp turn (90 degrees)... there is a creaking noise/vibration.
Feels like kinda like clutches in a diff (not sure if this is a good description). When warmed up its fine.
Anyone, have and thoughts or get the same thing?

It could be anything.. heat shields... unfortunately I know you don't want to leave it at the dealership for them to diagnose so hopefully someone else can chime in with a better idea but pretty much just poke in the engine bay and around the wheel liners and see if you can get lucky.

To further clarify, its not a rattle. It certainly seems to be in the steering line. Not sure thats much more helpful :/

Be curious if others are getting this?

take it into dealer if you are concerned, maybe there is something else going on. That’s why they are there.

Yes, it's normal. It happened on every Porsche I've owned and numerous threads on it. Even happens on the Porsche Sedans. Some call it the acorn effect but more accurately the ackerman effect. It will go away when it gets warmer out. Here is another thread:

But then, it probably would still puzzle people, cuz who really reads the manual anyway.
