Only you can decide what ADM you are comfortable with. I would advise: Decide now, in advance of looking and/or finding a car, what your top dollar ADM is....and then be prepared to go +/-$10k over/under that price when you find a car you love. And then be patient.

No one here knows for sure whether car prices (esp. GT cars) are going up or down with respect to ADMs.

A year ago, many here were singing the chorus that you should wait a year (until now, or winter 2022) and ADMs will have evaporated. Well, we are now "a year later" and ADMs are still as robust as they were a year at this time.

The same folks are now saying that ADMs are going to crater like the price of BTC's in the past 6 months. Maybe they're right this time, or maybe they are going to be just as wrong as they were last time.

If anyone had a real crystal ball as to what car prices (or ADMs) were going to do in the future, do you really think that they would come on here on Rennlist and post it on a public forum for free? Instead of arbitraging the insight that they have to play the future markets and make a quick $$ for themselves?

TL;DR. Take everything everybody here says about future prices of cars just like the daily horoscope, for entertainment purposes only.

Cars, esp. GT cars, are toys. They are not life necessities. Spend as much as you are comfortable burning the same amount of money to the ground, and you'll enjoy your car more than you can ever imagine.

I understand nobody wants to overpay for a car. Buying a 992 GT3 was the first time I paid over sticker for anything. I never really debated if I should wait or pull the trigger. I did have to convince myself to pay the adm, and it came down to how bad I wanted the car. If you wait long enough the prices will eventually come down but you will also likely be buying an older car with more miles. Rather than trying to time the market, just decide if you want the car bad enough to pay market price. If yes, search and haggle to find one that suits you. I bet most people don’t regret buying one even if they paid over. After you pay for it, then you enjoy the car and forget what you paid.

I'd wait and see what 2023 brings before I spent 200k+. That is, unless you're billionized or have only a year to live.

Sending you a PM as well.
I’d stick with a Porsche dealer personally.

I've been watching the 992 GT3 used market pretty close. using the filters of 2021+; miles (any), GT3.

I've noticed over the last few months that a GT3 has gone down in price from 280's to around 250's. I see several 2022 Gt3 on autotrader right now for 240-250k. No idea if this trend will continue. The GT market is obviously much different then the general used car market. Guess time will tell but common sense tells me that the exotic car market is directly related to the SP500. Many expect new low's in SP in 2023, and therefore I would speculate that exotic cars such as the GT3 may continue to go lower in price, likely not below MSRP though.

Here are a few that I saw:

GT cars in the past have certainly not been immune to depreciation. No car is immune to depreciation in normal times. The current environment suggests supply has been increasing and prices declining. Supply via cars.com is going up steadily and cars are starting to sit. Looks like a solid downtrend forming to me, but you’ll need to make your own decision.

I'm sorry this video is 5 days old. I just saw it. It's a new manual at Porsche of West Palm Beach. Hope it helps someone. I get nothing out of this. Just passing info along to my fellow car enthusiasts.

Yes it's anyone's guess where prices will go but it's a very safe bet that they are going lower....big question is by how much and how fast.

I love that CWM color. I think that alone is worth $75k over.*

Disclaimer: I may or may not have a CWM being built right now; that's how this thread works right? Like a meme stock forum.

The market has been more stubborn than I thought but the fact of the matter remains the used car market is softening by the day now so GT3 will continue to decline in price.

Covid pandemic was a big event , so markets were distorted significantly and they are starting to normalize
So it was hard to predict every move and how long the upswing will last , but certainly the market is on a down turn
how far it will go and by what percent and how much inflation will affect the floor pricing for used cars we don't know

unless you invested the majority of your $$ in the last 24 months, the market isn’t going to break most GT owners. When the Nasdaq is below 7k, then it’s uh oh
