992s are notorious for interior buzzing/rattles, so what you hear could be normal.
I can hear it- sounds more to do with airflow disturbance than mechanical to me. Have you checked the underneath for any duct or diffuser damage? I can't see how rusty hubs would do that - if its wheel related it will vary with road speed
I find it funny that my 2022 (August build) seems to have the same metallic rubbing noise that all of my 911 generations have had, attributable to the speedo cable in the past. Maybe they’re electronic now and it’s something new, but sure sounds the same…
I also get this sometimes on my new GT3... sounds like it's coming from the dash area behind the centre aircon vents and seems to get louder as the RPM builds.
it is my first gt3 so i don't know what is normal and what is not but as i understood the car has alot of the sound deadening removed so these noises are normal
I also have this with less than 300 miles on the car ('24). It does sound like a ciccada/light chirp from around the chrono/upper dash area in the middle...
I just found out my car, built in July 2021 has water damage. There was still water in the hubs and they are all rusted. Germany had documented flooding in July 2021. See pics of my hubs. They are trying to say this is not covered by warranty. I will obviously be fighting this…Have yours checked and let me know if you find water damage.
I had the same issue on my 991.2 GT3. My car had about 4000 miles at the time it was discovered by my dealer. Porsche replaced them.
