Default Request for technical information

Hello

I ask this info on behalf of my son who is currently following his last year of secondary "automotive techniques" . Before graduating, he has to make a GIP work (an integrated test, lets say a kind of thesis).

Since our (Father and son ) biggest passion is Porsche; he would have liked to make the GIP about the different techniques used in the current Porsche GT3 RS.

Not a lot in-dept info is available about the different techinques used

For example he needs some detailed information on:

• Environmental standards for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS , and more important how this is achieved (sensors, filters, fuel injection method,...)
Drag reduction system (DRS) • Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

• Porsche active suspension (PASM)

• Direct fuel injection (DFI)

• Porsche Stability Management (PSM)

• Multi-level adjustment and total switch off of Stability control (ESC)

• Traction control (TC)

• 3-way catalytic converters, gasoline particulate filter (GPF)

• Variable intake / individual throttle valves

• Info on functional aerodynamic elements (swan-neck-supported rear wing, side-blades, wheel arch ventilation, double-wishbone front designed with teardrop-shaped profiles,….)

Lets say, "How is it all done in detail ...

He already asked local Porsche dealers but unfortunattelly only the comercial info is available here, no detailed info on the real techniques....
Does anyone here has info available (I'm thinking of for example; PDF files, video's, brochures, internet links,...), and would you like to share them with us?

Lets hope for a positive response :-)

Cool project for you two. Press and dealer materials are a good place to start for some moderate depth on various systems of the GT3

Hello Chris

Thanks for the link
Indeed a good base to start with....

But if someone has more in detail info like:
  • Resonance valve in the intake to achieve as much as possible air intake in the cilinders....
  • The details to achieve the strict emission standard Euro 6d ISC FCM (EU6 AP).
  • Details about the 2 separate gasoline particulate filters (GPF) and stereo lambda control for both catalytic converters that are used for this purpose....
I know this is not that easy to find but this is the info he needs to talk about

Really appreciate all the help here

Such detailed information, I have only seen from BMW. If you decide to change to the current or previous M3/M4, I can send you more than 100 pages of tech info...
