The many references to the RSR make me wonder what is coming to commemorate its 50th?

I don’t see a 4.2 happening for the street
but I hope to god I’m wrong
We’ll see the current 4.0 all the way up to the 992.2 GT cars
next .2RS will have some form of a hybrid
next .2GT3 will be basically .1RS
Typical Porsche formula. And it’s fine with me lol

In terms of Porsche formula, when has Porsche not built a road-going 911 with the same displacement as their largest racing 911 engine?

Does anyone know if the Tribute to Carrera RS package is actually a thing for the GT3RS? I have seen some posts from dealerships over the world but then I see a post by AP that it was just a one off and not an actual option. I realize its all conjecture but kind of crazy how everything is all over the place

The 991.1 RS had a 4.0L engine and 500hp. That came out in I think 2015? Can’t see them using that same engine size for 15+ years.
Porsche will increase the displacement one last time in the 992.2 GT generation, before we all say goodbye to NA.

Porsche certainly increases engine size slowly but to have not have meaningful improvement in engine size/power for over a decade is not Porsche formula.

I think if its available the Carrera RS tribute would be the way to go, not just for the limited edition but it really has the best look while also being special. First time I might not go Weissach

That special Green version looks way better than Weissach, but so do the relatively inexpensive Red or Blue trimmed versions, imo.
