GT3RS Allocation Thread
#3767
Re all the PTS questions, the latest word from PCNA is that PTS is “unavailable” right now. I realize it’s the same or similar to what others have heard:
Due to high demand, the availability of Paint to Sample (PTS) for the 911 GT3 RS far exceeds our current production capacity. As a result, we are unable to accommodate all PTS requests at this time.
You may choose to request that your order be moved to a future allocation month, but please be aware that this is not a guarantee that PTS will be available and may result in a delay of your vehicle's delivery. We strongly recommend having a backup configuration ready with an exterior color from our standard range.
If you prefer to wait for the possibility of PTS, you may leave your order in the system as configured, and it will be adjusted accordingly. However, please note that this does not ensure your vehicle will receive PTS.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

I'm still waiting on my PTS approval and today is 4 weeks since I got my commission number. If I get that email, I'm going to wait for PTS. I'm in no rush and I have a bunch of fun cars to drive in the mean time.

Having seen multiple 3RS in person, having taken delivery of one, and having spoken to multiple people who dealt with issues, I am really concerned with fit and finish of carbon fiber pieces. I dont even know the scope of risk with PTS in those pieces.

Is there anyone who have had their car already start building over the last couple of months but then had the completion date kicked out to September or even later?
My non-PTS, non-CXX car started building in June. I got a couple of factory photos, and was supposed to complete manufacturing a couple of weeks after the photos, but suddenly I saw the completion date get pushed out to September.

I don’t completely disagree, but I have reminded myself repeatedly that the main “communication color scheme“ for the 3RS is ice gray with the red accent package and yellow calipers. Which is only slightly different from my spec of white with the red accent package. How could the esteemed Porsche designers be wrong? Hahah

limited production isn’t causing the ADM’s it’s just greedy flippers and the Indy slineball dealers stirring up business
this one is even more unusable then the last and they’re making more….I don’t know how these flippers stay in business tbh as it really seems like most are getting crushed right now. Gt4Rs was 125 over, now they’re literally sticker…in the span of 18 months…proly a lot flippas lost their shirts

I don’t think anyone is arguing gt3rs are limited production, they literally never have been. ADM’s went crazy last gen 1 time (991.1) essentially we saw the prices fall from ironically where they are now of around 400k down to low 200’s in the span of about 18 months.

and let’s be clear ADM has nothing to do with flippers and “Indy” dealers. Simple supply and demand. If someone’s willing to pay. Then that’s what the adm is. More supply and less demand and adms come down. This isn’t rocket science. flippers sell calls for what the market is willing to pay thus supporting dealers to charge ADMs.
Like you mentioned same thing happened with 991.1 (less so with 991.2). People like having the latest and greatest (me included!) and it takes time for supply to get to the market. This will happen again with 992.2 and 2RS and 994.
Im sure there are some flippers that lost their shirt. My policy is buy a car you want to keep and pay what you’re comfortable with. If you don’t like it then move it. If you do like it then it doesn’t matter what the current value is. You can drive it and enjoy it.
