Default Pepita Cushions

Hi. I'm getting next week a oak green touring with cognac exclusive interior in 18 ways seats. In this seats the change of the cushions for pepita ones is "plug and play" like in the carbon seats ? Or must be the total leather on seats facelift ? Wanted to make like the ones attached

It's not a simple "plug and play" swap on leather seats like it is LWB. That said, anything can be done for money if you are willing to spend it. Someone like Justin Placek may be able to help you out, but you are going to be sending your seats to him in Germany and having him completely reupholster and build the seat from scratch. Probably atleast $10k+

Your touring spec is (10/10) I'd just drive as it is... It's too nice to re-upholster

If the seats would be ventilated I wouldn't even wonder make it but once not I thought could be a nice upgrade to the configuration. Can't wait to see it live next week first time. How came out oak + cognac + carbon roof and mirrors + black trime + neodym wheels + matrix

I tried to CXX my 18-ways in Cohiba with green/blue tartan inserts and the green tach numbers (911R and SC style). At the time they wouldn't let you because of the SC launch. I had a great exchange with the CX consultant and he tried, but it was out of his hands. This was for PCNA customers. I've seen CXX done for European customers on Instagram. However, I would give it a shot, now that the SC is revealed. They may let you do it now. Definitely schedule a CXX consult and speak with the rep, they will let you know what you can and can't do and they send up the request.

Just get your local high end guy to reupholster for you. Whilst not a plug and play its not hard either for a good vehicle upholsterer. If they need, get the cushions from someone who knows what pepita is to integrate on the seats locally (rather then send seats world wide). But don't let the local guy try and convince of something else (ie pattern material).

I for one am not scared about redoing interior to suit yourself. Some get all stirred up about resale / original, but do it for yourself. More enjoyable.

a good experienced high end shop can get the same source materials for the seats and carpet like the factory. I had one find the correct silvernit carpet material for my 993TT

I think that would spoil the look and feel of a 'brand new car' - in all honesty you're going to spend most of your time looking out the windscreen whilst enjoying driving, so why bother?

Hello,

I will share that after a Factory visit in 2017 I wanted to order an Leather to Sample (LTS) interior in Cedar Green Buffalo. After discussions and visit with the Exclusive Manufactur Team was informed that LTS interior would be available and that the black carpet and all of the other trim pieces would be in black vinyl or black plastic. Since I did not want black carpet and trim throughout the interior I decided against a Leather to Sample interior.

I obtained an official leather sample of Cedar Green Buffalo (CGB) from the Porsche leather supplier in Austria - BoxMark in 2017. Last fall I decided that I wanted to proceed to change my Agate Grey 2019 Cayman S interior into a two tone interior.

I enlisted the assistance of my good friend Tony Garcia of Autobahn Interiors (San Diego, CA). Autobahn Interiors Is one of the best known for restoration work on 356 and early 911 model interiors. Well as the pictures below will show Autobahn Interiors did the full color change and reupholstery of my entire late model Sport Seats Plus (that are equipped with heated seats). The seats are now in CGB leather with the seat inserts down in one of the early 930 Tartan Plaids called Dress MacKenzie.

I could not me more pleased with my two color interior with the seats done by Autobahn Interior and the other dashboard and center console panels done by Frank act Exclusive Options in the Bay Area. Both of these Comoany’s can be counted on to deliver quality services to the Porsche Community. Let me know if you have any questions.

I could not be more pleased with the end results and many folks during the Concour display at the recent Porsche Parade in the Poconos thought that my interior work was done by the Porsche Exclusive Manufactur group.

Dave
