I came across this photo which is allegedly an internal email from Porsche.
All Porsches have been impacted. For how long, I don’t think anyone has any ideas yet.

Interesting. I've got 2 cars with CP8 in April. I imagine those will be delayed as well as it's snowball effect.

Sounds like a few key components are cutoff. Would imagine they have redundancy in the supply for such basic items. But who knows, war is not something that is planned for. In saying that, surely Porsche has some people that pay attention to such things in the supply chain and started thinking about options weeks ago. Might be a lag to activate backup plans.

Anyway, horrible situation in Ukraine, for the people there.

Modern supply chains are all about being lean and were designed with a stable world in mind, so chances are there's not a lot of redundancy built in. I'm sure there is some ability to adjust but it will take some time.

My CP8.0 is 3/18 so I imagine my car will be stuck in production limbo indefinitely if it actually begins production 3/11.

I find you have to re-login myporsche.com and reload TYD to get it to work each day.

Those who pretraded cars will lose $15k due to tax credit not being valid after 12 months. I’d ask Porsche for compensation or have the dealer adjust your ADM.

My TYD never worked until yesterday and now this is the message....
It is a July build PTS car that I will probably never see.....

But I am thankful I don't live in Ukraine so this is just a minor unfortunate problem in the big picture...

Really glad I decided to pass on PTS and the extended delivery time that it comes with.

I inquired about pretrading my 992 TTS a couple of weeks ago. I figured I would take the sure thing with the market the way it stood. Considering everything that's happening I'm going to keep it until my Touring shows up. I could be way off - but I imagine I won't lose much, if anything, by holding it until then (if and when a "then" arrives).

Default Holding my Breath

according to TYD my CP 8 is estimated to be tomorrow or 1 day. The completion has been bumped twice already in TYD and was originally scheduled to complete Jan 28. Of course there is no information
about the details but I assume the delays thus far have been part shortages. What a gauntlet of problems to escape: covid disruption chips etc, transportation ship sinking, now war in the Ukraine.
Can you imagine the crisis management team at Porsche and what they are doing to keep things up and running?
I am fortunate to have such a minor worry in my life, a toy arrival will be a bit late. Lets wish all the best and hope for peace sooner not later.

I'm supposed to go CP8 next week, however my GM told me the car already has a VIN. So I'm hopeful it's just sitting somewhere 99% built and waiting for something dumb like TPMS.

Never, ever, pre-trade a vehicle. I say that from a horrific experience…….
