Default Touring Owners - what tires were on the car at delivery?

Interesting comment about tires in this article.

https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-...h-review/45281

For Touring owners, which tires were mounted on the car at delivery?

Why worry about the tires that come with the car from the factory.

Tires are consumables.

Drive the car (which you are going to do, right?), then after a few months you'll need to get new rubber, and you can buy the ones you want, Cup 2's if you want some more traction or as Pistonheads suggests, the Corsas if you want a more compliant ride.

I wasn't worried, I was just wondering if Porsche was consciously choosing to put the Pirellis on to fit the "character of the Touring." Whatever that means.

No, they try to spread them around evenly (randomly as available) among the 3 choices

Ugh, Im sure I'll get stuck with the POS Goodyears. Just for once give me Michelins so I dont have to change tires at 0 miles.

For a compliant ride, I'd just go with MPS4S in 265/325 size and avoid the tramlining Pirellis.

if you track the car, the Goodyears reports have been, that they’re the best. But not sure how that translates to daily driving.

Best regards,
Dave
