I'm coming up on my 2 year maintenance, how many of you all here have done it yourself or taken it to an indy as opposed to dealer? Any thoughts on how that might affect resale value?
My dealer is quoting $800 for an oil change - what's everyone paying for maintenance?
I do the annual and bi-annual services myself. I've only wimped out on the 4-yr (24k miles) replacement of the serpentine belt and engine air filters which require a bit more work than the other services. I let the dealer do those and he did the air filters for free labor, since you have them exposed when removing all the parts for the serpentine belt.
In fact, I've chosen to do the oil changes every 3k miles, due to the fact that only half the oil is drained. Really easy and relatively inexpensive (good peace of mind for the obsessive types among us )
BTW, just bought a couple cases of the new C40 GT oil for $11 per quart at the local dealer (PCA discount included).
