PIWIS can interrogate a log file demonstrating if a car hasn't been broken in properly with regards to adhering to redlines, etc.
I, for one, prefer to not chance something happening to the powertrain down the road and having PCNA blaming me for improper use. Moreover, would prefer not to have the next buyer prospect ask for a similar log file only to show my car not being properly broken in.
To each their own...but I have seen and have experienced car companies deny claims based on ECU logs.

I can try next time I connect to a vehicle with it I can export a datalog and copy/paste it. Just search for Porsche Over Rev Report and you'll see many many screen shots of the different data range blocks with the pertinent rev ranges. I believe there's a whole Rennlist list thread with different owners sharing their reports. I'll try to find the link
