headed 50 miles to Marin for sushi tmo
-shape: 992 looks a hell lot better in real life than in pic. I liek the wider rear. I think the wing is better sized relative the the mass of car compared to 991 (again that's personal aesthetics, as I am sure PAG designed it with aero in mind not just look). there rear area just above bumper cover may be too busy on 992. but the front end, hood and bumper is nicer on 992 (the black part of bumper can easily be painted body color if one doesnt liek ti. I planned to paint it body color then in person it actually fits well what the accidental CF top and other black bits on the car. so for now, I will not paint it)
-driving experience: I like 992 much better. I am not sure why. the clutch wt and shifter feel is very similar to 991. so I don't understand why I like 992 more..... the throttle response is tad faster. I don't understand either then, maybe it's due to ITB?
-sound: it has exhaust particulate filter as you know. I feared for the lack of noise. but my ears tell me it's louder. wife asked after 2 min in car "why is this one so much louder" and mech33 confirmed it's louder at LS last week. so I am not imagining things. but the louder part doesn't mean it sounds better. it definitely sound different. the tone quality is not something I would like to hear from SF to LA. on the 997 even wiht Sharkwerks I don't mind driving from SF to LA. ... jury still out.
subconscious review: in any of my 991 variants. I never bothered to arrange time to drive them, I drive them b/c I needed to drive to a destination. on 992, I would try to make time to drive it. yes, it's new. so maybe it's honeymoon. but when 991 was new, I didnt have the honey moon feel.....
it now has 600 miles. I think this is day 4.
I also drove it in pouring rain today and wet pavement yesterday....

You have become so eloquent and grammatically refined in your old age. Thank you for the excellent review. Wait for me until april... I will come rev my engine next to yours (not kinky style).

The more I see the 992 wing and touring, the more I like it inside and out. As usual it takes my eye time to adjust and most reflect the new design as fugly compared to the outgoing. I told myself I'd sit out the 992 but it is trying to suck me back in!
