my buddy just went thru the exact scenario moving a patek. Got the call “hey need your Amex”. All said and done made a quick 10k. Dealer had a “list” skipped the first few went to someone down the line willing to pay wayyyyy more.

side note I do think 12-15 months from now will be the best time to buy 992 GT3. Those that paid sticker or even a small adm that are actually driving their cars are the real winners. The flippers are in for a treat. 2 on pcarmarket dealtank and 2 more being auctioned at the moment. If they don’t meet reserves then the market isn’t what they thought it would be thus far.

Yes, luxury watches such as Pateks and the popular Rolex models are out of this world. the winged GT cars being sold/flipped at the moment are something to keep an eye out. Speaking of watches, if anyone is paying attention I am downsizing and selling one of my Rolex's GMT-II Batman (Light blue/black cermaic bezel) on Oyster SS band. Complete box/papers, card, plus extra links. Bought new fall 2019. I haven't worn it in over a year since I bought the blue Skydweller. PM me for details not doing peanut gallery on this one and I already have local offers to consider.

Happy New Year all..!!

Believe me, I understand the optimism and the wanting of these prices to drop, makes sense, especially the people who are waiting to buy one. But Turbo S’s are still going for 30-40k over MSRP a year so after with very minimal end in sight.

Chip shortages coupled with people willing to spend the amount the market commands, I think a year from now we’ll still be at 30k over MSRP on GT cars. Not 100k+ like today’s climate, but definitely over MSRP. You heard it here first. Again it’s nice to be optimistic, but these are different circumstances than the previous GT releases.

You GUYS think these prices are high?!? Lol Wait until the 992 Tourings hit the secondary market. 140k over easy. Then comes the 992RS, 200k over like someone else had mentioned. Let’s be realistic. 991.2 tourings are going 30-80k over MSRP. Yeah in 6 months they’ll come down to 20k under MSRP lol

A majority of Q1 allocations on the 992 GT3 are gone, Q2 allocations are drying up. Most of these allocations, carried a decent ADM with people having paid 50-100k ADM on new builds for Q1/Q2. I couldn’t even get my 2nd key on my 992 GT3 when it was delivered due to chip shortages. I do hope these builds don’t get delayed for the people who have secured them.

I’ve been saying this for months. Reading someone else say it provides only a bit of relief on the ADM nut I had to swallow. Taking delivery of the car in 5 months (hopefully) will wipe away the rest.

I'm still waiting on my second key and have had the car for three months. This chip and supply problem is going to last a lot longer than people think

too many variables to be sure about anything really.

The GT3 has a lot going for it though. How many high end sports cars still have NA engine? Maybe F 812, Huracan, R8, GT4/Spyder, and Corvette? Out of all of those I’m pretty sure only Porsche has the NA / MT combo.

All these cars are great long-hold stocks, whether you are paying ADM or not. Don't just get one to experience it, keep it. Forget Bitcoin, HODL.

And pretty sure little Mazda is still making NA manual Miatas...different animal, but a great one!

I am assuming you being sarcastic!!!

If you think these are great long-hold stocks then just wait for the market to turn on you.

These are depreciating toys that some times you get lucky and lose very little money in a couple years or some times you pay a hefty ADM and get fried a year later.
