Default Touring build - comments and suggestions?

Just got the call that my Touring build will be available next summer. This is the configuration I came up with.

Note: I plan on getting the EM Cohiba interior. I selected Mojave for now just for visualization purposes.

The only thing I’m considering is PTS Amethyst Metallic, but I would keep everything else the same even if I went that route.

Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Just responded to your PM. I went with the same exterior color and wheel choice was not easy. Ultimately I landed on satin dark silver. Black too black, silver too silver, Neodyme did not blend as well as I imagined in my head. They still look good but better on a winged car than a Touring. To me the ethos of the Touring should be a bit quieter aesthetically so I love the subtle sporty vibes of the dark silver wheels. See below for Neodyme

Looks good. We have about the same build but with different exterior colors.

This is only my subjective opinion, but did you consider removing the silver exterior trim? I know some people dig it, but toggling the black on for your build really gave the car a different presence with the wheels.

With the neodyme wheels I agree with you after toggling it on the configurator. If I go with amethyst I think the touring package in black is the right call.

Touring package in black works very well with Amethyst. That's what I spec'd

It depends what kind of “look” you want. Progressive, or classic. In my opinion ( only important to me) the Touring theme is classic. I think the Touring release model with the chrome trim is fantastic. If you YouTube a GT3 with silver wheels, they look awesome in motion.Probably best on a medium to dark car. I’m doing the same as the release car, but with black calipers , the common clear side running lights, and a silver hood crest to replace the gold, that doesn’t blend well with many colors… I’d really consider the silver wheels…..

This isn’t perfect, but I played around with the colors from the configurator in Lightroom. I think this works.

Beautiful car, and it does indeed work. The neodyme wheels are a little loud to me and distract slightly from the awesome body color.

I think the silver wheels and trim could work. I would keep the yellow calipers if I went with silver wheels. Forgive the horrible photo editing.

It’s a great color. Many nice combinations available. Maybe the black package with darker silver wheels……

I did some different renderings from the configurator with all the combinations of window trim, wheels and calipers I would consider. I didn’t love the darker silver wheels. Here are the renderings in the order I prefer them from most preferred to least. I think the bright silver wheels with the bright silver window trim looks good. I’m thinking black interior with GT silver stitching and replacing the inserts on the LWB with the P1 inserts. I added a photo of the fabric which should tie everything together.

There is an Instagram post on #porsche992gt3 of an amethyst GT3 with silver wheels and black trim. It looks great….

I saw it. I’ve decided to go with the neodyme wheels and PCCBs with black calipers. Should look fantastic. I saw the neodyme wheels in person and they’re more like a light champagne than gold. Here they are on a GT Silver car:

I am wondering about the GT silver stitching ..vs. Slate grey (which is very subtle on black leather ) ….afraid to have the contrast stitching fighting with the bucket seats inserts I want to play with (P1 houndstooth-Pepita or plaid ) ….

also the touring has the unique leather pattern on the upper dash and doors …which a higher contrast stitching may take away from those ….
