Default USA GT3 Allocations Dropped!

My dealership (in NJ) reached out to me today and told me they are supremely disappointed. 820 GT3 cars total destined for the USA for the 2022 MY; much less than previously expected. They also got zero allocations for any additional 2022 base 911, which they are shocked about. ADMs will be reflected accordingly: $25K on GTS and $50K on GT3.

Anyone get conflicting information?

The allocations we got are for all the remaining MY 2022's and they go all the way out to August before doing any 2023s. I texted our guy saying I'm happy to be a racer as it means I have fireproof underwear and that should save me from the angry clients who won't be getting cars for at least another year. From my perspective (including the cars we have being built this year as 2022s) this is under what I'd hoped they'd be building by 33-40%. It seems very light, but gauging the accompanied production on other 911s and sports cars...not likely changing to a 'normal' schedule for a long time. Hopefully by the time the GT3RS comes out they have resolved their chip issues.

This is likely the first round of allocations with more released throughout the year.

This is consistent with what I heard from my salesperson on Saturday. This month they only get 50 percent of the prior allocation for GT3s.

Thats because supply chain constraints got to a point where the factories can no longer maintain the existing rate of allocations/new orders.

It's early in the production cycle for the 992.1 GT3s but it's becoming quite obvious they're not going to build as many of these as they want to within the production window. I'm not implying this makes the 992 GT3s a limited car but what I do think this implies is that ADMs are more likely to exist throughout said production cycle. Those hoping for an MSRP allocation by being patient will likely be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong

I got an email from the sales manager that I got a Touring allocation @ MSRP. I'm super happy, I asked the SA if the PTS window is still open.

Again congratulations but aren’t you the same guy that has bought over 8 cars from the dealership giving you MSRP?

I think the term is "institutional investor and enjoyer of Porsches".

Driver, non-collecter to be exact.

This will be my 5th GT car that I bought from PNH but I've also bought 4 Cayennes/Macans from them too. As gas prices in CA keep going higher, I may buy order a Taycan next year to replace the Macan if no EV Macan is on the horizon.

About 10pm last night I get an email from my local dealer. Same thing as OP said.

I have a 50kADM allocation for spring delivery. Winged GT3. Not biting tho. I’m gonna hold out see what happens.

All anecdotal, my rep said that they have batches of allocations dropping in November with the next in Feb. They don't have hard numbers on quantities nor how long the production cycle will go but it was hinted that they should see more 992.1's than they did 991.2's before the cycle is over.

So overall, it's a big old shoulder shrug but what was messaged to me was cautious optimism versus utter gloom.
