I was wrong. It is then bolt on the plastic housing. Also there was a bit of oil staining on the diffuser and on the bottom of the engine. Anyone else have this issue. Jamie and dundon shot me a note on social media and said it's a seal issue and some of the 3RS were having this problem. Sigh.....

Well I'm currently under my GT3 RS and there's no plastic plug to be found. And I ended up getting an oil filter kit directly at the dealer and they only gave me a single plug with crush washer.
Also I'm not crazy this is the one I'm supposed to pull along with the perpendicular one with the tight fitment correct?

Yes, it’s this one on the bottom and the one on the back of the engine (facing rearward)

Strange really. Figured they'd all have switched by the time the RS was being built. Oh well. More importantly!!!!
The Autel M808 service reset worked. I made a video on the step by step that's uploading to YouTube now. I can also confirm it works on the 971.2 Panera GTS and a Mercedes VS30 sprinter van lol. In the OEM selection it has just about every brand other than Ferrari
